And as for Drawing itself, I pretty much didn't have to Draw anymore once I finished Dollet. I had my Refine abilities learned by then, and if I needed magic I could make it from items. I mean, Cottages refine into 20 Curagas. So I blow a couple thousand gil, refine myself 100 Curagas, and junction it to my HP. Boom, my HP shoots up 2500 points, I've got my Disk 1 meatshield.
People rag on the Drawing and Junction systems, but with some research and time, it's really not that hard to work with.
You should leave the FFVIII review to Noah, he's funnier. Also, about Drawing, you took it a bit far. Yeah, the Drawing system is flawed, but there's ways to simplify it. Card Mod, which you said is useless, is actually quite helpful for netting items to make weapon with. If you know which cards refine what (god bless the internet), you can net the higher-level weapons fairly easily. Plus, rare cards tend to refine rare items. One card refines into 100 Elixirs, tell me that's not useful.

ok i'll give you that, but the only way of achieving that goal through the best of my knowledge is card moding to items but also converting the items to magic. even if you didn't draw from any monsters you will a lease play 1hr to get the necessary AP to research the ability and more then 2 hours to get 100 of either Ultima, Meteor, Full-life, Holy, Aura, Flare, Tornado, Pain, Quake, Regen, Triple, Curaga, to get at lease a 2200hp boost.
if i'm missing anything and if i'm taking this too serious, i apologize but the only way i can think of actually achieving that goal IS to cheat. if i'm wrong, prove me wrong . I will like to know how to get over 3000 hp in 3hr for my next play through too, lol.
OR you refine Curagas from tents. Fasticilon Fs on the beach give 6 ap per fight which will give you the ability in maybe 40 minutes tops. Buying ten tents isn't very hard either.

FF6 > FF8 > FF9 > FF4 > FF7 > FF10 > FF12 > FF2 > FF1
I've still not played FF3 so it wasn't included. FF8 ranks quite high for me because I enjoy a good love story and could relate with Squall.
