@DesireeBassett Well I'm 64 years old and have been an electric guitar fan since I was 12 years old and I say you are EXCELLENT!!! Lots of feeling and hot chops. I think Jimi would be pleased. He would probably like it better if you were using a Strat rather than..is it a Washburn? But it is a good sounding guitar. There are not many girls who play hot electric guitar. I saw the original Allman Brothers over 30 times, was hooked on them. Saw Hendrix open for the Monkey's in 1968 in Greensboro.
@DesireeBassett One of the best Jimi Hendrix covers is by the late Gary Moore who died this past Feburary. Type in "Gary Moore Red House" in the search box. I think your cover is close to what Hendrix sounded like as I can remember seeing Hendrix in the late 60's and he was fantastic. You and Gary Moore may even be a bit faster running some of the notes than Jimi was. Moore is using an old Fender Strat on Red House. You are a great player young lady. It is nice to know about your playing!!!

I`m 44 years old, I was 4 when Jimi died so I don`t remember him in the flesh, but grew up on him and the music of that era and soul music of Philly, Motown and NYC,also on the discotheques in NY/NJ/CT/LI and watching DJ Grandmaster Flash spinning/scratching records in the parks of the BoogieDownBronx and watching the breakers and poplockers on cardboards on every sidewalk in NYC to watching it come alive 24/7 on my cable TV to hip-hop becoming the most popular and seeing black prez/rock protege

I like how you're a classic rock kinda girl, but I think you could have a lot more fun playing underground styles like prog-rock or screamo or something. That's just the stuff I'm into so yea. IMHO her lead playing is far too mechanical, it doesn't have the real Hendrix feel to it, and her rhythm playing seems very garbled and inconsistent.

The only reason this girl is getting ANY attention is because she's a cute (?) young girl who's a whore-like self-promoter. There are TONS of better players within spitting distance of me.
Get her to turn the distortion off and you'll hear what a horrible player she is. And anyone can copy a song. Can she write a good one? Doubt it.

@rickwicz If you have any real talent yould recognize talent in her. But what its sounds like is sour grapes from someone who is probably at their height, an unknown and uninteresting guitar player. Desi is wonderful talent and she doesnt have to waste throwing ice cubes at you if you were on fire. Folks on here know what awesome talent is and they know when wannabies are envious. Professionals dont need to write putdowns to teens or those who enjoy her.
