@dagdogg - as someone said below, from time to time they had 'dance contests' and had 'lip-synch' contests. So I guess they needed a Contestant Producer and Coordinator.
@syouyun Since it was a daily show, they taped 1 ending, got it perfect and re-used it. I don't think they would've been able to deal with taping that ending 5 x a week.
These closing credits have the exact same font as Jim Lange's "Name that Tune." Not too surprising, considering they tape at the same studio: Golden West Videotape in L.A.
@jnadle1 Are those the same studios at the KTLA studios in Burbank? Because that is where the first 4 seasons of Solid Gold and Solid Gold Hits were taped. After season 5 the show studio tapings were moved to the Paramount lot on Sunset and Gower.
Thanks for posting this Sold Gold Hits came on here at 4:00pm in the afternoon,i remember this show being BIG as Solid Gold was real BIG at the time,i wonder why it was so short lived???? it was a great little companion to the hour long SG on the weekends
@MrLogoman007 I think from time to time they had like trivia type contests. To tell the truth I never saw a single entrire episode of HITS because in my market they came on at like 11:00 PM and I was still in high school and was already in bed.
Grant Goodeve? Hey, he's the voice of the Engineer from Team Fortress 2!

Did they have different outfits for the ending. Or did they use the same one all the time? Thanks for reviving your posts. More please

@taichi29 Thank you! I appreciate the info. All these years later with clips cropping up, I now regret not taping or watching it back in the day.

@MrLogoman007 Somebody must have thought it was a game show.
