  • Even the producers knew that modern art was bullshit

  • That slimey Joker! He has outwitted the dynamic duo once again! That cold blooded clown!

  • Cesar Romeo's Joker ruining the paintings is like Jack Nicholson's Joker with the paintings

  • @trekkie613 Wouldn't surprise me if that scene inspire the writers of the first Batman movie to do the same.

  • Robin: "Are we just going to let him walk out of here?"

Batman: "We have no choice. He's committed no crime. As a matter of fact he's increased the value of these paintings. I think we should discuss this with Commissioner Gordon."

Translation: Batman is dobbing on the Joker.

  • Id laugh if he saw a crying clown picture and would be like "now thats just mean!" when he was insulting the pictures.

  • What can you expect from a man who appears in public in such a rrrridiculous outfit??"

  • george waGGner

  • P. S. I think it might be one of the "Mad Hatter" episodes, if memory serves....

  • There is supposedly a BATMAN episode which gives a last name for Alfred, the last name being "Roodoo." This info is based on a "Letters to the Batcave" in either a BATMAN or DETECTIVE COMICS. So far, the episode hasn't popped up, but I'm well aware of TV LAND's editing techniques...can anyone out there in "YouTube Land" (sorry, I couldn't resist!) please help? Thanks!

  • @stanbrekston: Stately Wayne Manor is directly *above* the Batcave, at least Bruce's study is.

  • now wait a minute! @2:45 dick goes down the left pole. then @3:43 should'nt he still be on that same pole which is now the right one instead of batman?

  • Cesar Romero and Mark Hamill - the ultimate Joker(s).

  • Ha hah ha.

    Peasant,philistine, un cultured boob.

  • I wonder if it Alfred also is the one behind removing the text on the wall behind te bat-poles.

  • @LilleyLuna Probably.

  • Is this where they got the idea for the Musuem Scene in Batman 89

  • Batman's pole is thicker.

  • mr zumdish

  • THE MONA LISA ???

  • honestly i never liked how everything was named after batman. wheres the robin poles? wheres the robin mobile? whens he gonna get a cliffhanger save?

  • @BGDD27 dam rite, its am outrage!!!

  • george waGGner must have made a fuss about there being two G's in his name for the credits people to do that to his name.

  • POP ART

  • POP IN POP

  • looooooooove joker!!!

  • "these uncultured boobs have no appretiation for fine art"

    LOL!!!!

  • @CPRox100 love that line also

  • Huuuuuuuuuh....internal injuries......I'm going to diiiiie.

I hope you do you finagling fiend!

    LOL

  • lol i love that! go joker!!!!!

  • Wait ! Isn't Alfred's last name Pennyworth?

  • Yes but it wasn' used in the series.t

  • @Joker33vip He called him Mr. Alfred cuz he said Alfred

like: yes sir you can call me luke

     I see sir Luke

  • @Joker33vip Yes. It is Pennyworth.

  • Love the part at the end when Joker calls Batman's costume "ridiculous looking." LMAO.

  • I love how Romero's Joker really does have the world's best interests at heart. He genuinely wants to make the world a happier, lighter, funnier place...he just has a destructive, backwards way of going about it. It's such a welcome reprieve from the nihilistic, preachy Joker we're treated to nowadays.

  • FRITZ FELD!!

  • March 22-23, 1967

  • Even the henchman get a kick out of Cesar's laugh at 4:15

  • ROFL. I was just about to ask, "Hey, where are those anal-retentive signs labeling the poles?"

  • If you will look closely BRUCES pole is BIGGER than DICKS pole. Hmmmm

  • They say this isn't being released on DVD due to the fact that DC doesn't want this to clash with the current, darker image of Batman.

What the hell? They allowed Batman and Robin on DVD and it makes the 60's TV show look like The Dark Knight!

Well, the character enters the public domain this year...

  • Tim Burton seemed to incorporate a little of this scene into the Museum scene in his Batman with destroying the artwork.

  • I noticed that as well. Also in Batman Returns, Penguin runs for mayor sort of like another episode from this show.

  • The signs disappeared! Even Dick noticed them! Were they really necessary to begin with?

  • Necessary for the plot, yes. You'll see!! ;)

  • I meant necessary for the series.

  • No, not really. They've slid down those poles enough times to know which one is which. I think there was a scene (or in a fanfic) where they were about to go down the wrong Batpole.

  • Yeah, I saw that and I was like, 'That was so pointless.' Although, if going down one particular pole has a costume, then yeah, that would suck, otherwise, they're totally pointless.

  • With the signs gone, Joker wouldn't have figured out their identities until he wound up in the Batcave. Luckily that didn't happen thanks to Alfred's quick thinking.

  • Yeah, true. But he was down there for a while. You'd think he saw something!

  • I agree; that's a LONG way down!!

  • Doesn't seem so when Bruce and Dick slide down those poles. ... That came out wrong.

  • @YellowZodiacRanger Yes so they won't slide down each others' Batpoles by mistake, and end up in each others' costumes.

  • pull shit my ass

  • I love how the museum director switches prices on the painting after Alfred tells him Millionaire Bruce Wayne is interested in it

  • Everything in this is cheesy, but the joker in this was a great acter.

  • I'm not sure who was better as the Joker.

Cesar Romero, Jack Nicholson or the late Heath Ledger.

  • in comics there are 3 versions of the joker

    1 dangerous criminal

    2 campy criminal

    3 insane madman

nickolson and ledger play the madman part down pact

ceaser romero plays the campy joker very well.

    hes a good actor.

    very well respected.

his homosexulality was a well known hollywood 'secret'

yet interestingly it was not learned until much later on.

  • Cesar Romero--The best Joker. Then and NOW!!!!!!!

  • Your crazy, he was good for what this was but Ledger owned the role.

  • Ledger made an overrated gay movie. Cesar Romero IS the Joker.

  • The movie might have been overrated because it's not the best movie ever, but it still was great and Ledger owned the role. The Joker is insane and murders people, now I know that that couldn't be done in this which is why I said he did good for what it was, but a true depiction can be found in TDK. Also there was nothing gay about TDK, if you didn't like it fine but that is just absurd.

  • I was talking about Brokeback Mountain.

  • actually in the comics at the time this show was airing the Joker was merely a prankster. He started out as a killer but was eventually toned down for a while then went back to being a psychopath

  • Your'e Both Wrong, Jack Nicholson Is The Joker

  • every joker was the best joker...

for this campy joker, romero was the best.

for the prankster but homocidal nicholson was the best.

for the purely evil, demented and psychopathis joker ledger was the best.

cartoon jokers goes to mark hamill/luke skywalker...

the best varies from person to person though

  • Yep Romero will always be my Joker, a trickster and villan as a form of demented social commentary. Basicly exists to turn society on it's ear and be a dick. I like him more than a demented psychopath who exists souly to watch the world burn. Not that that's not cool, like you said we all have our tastes. :)

  • @onceuponadiddle that's all very well.

but cesar romero was the actual best joker!

just as adam west was the best batman and evermore shall be so.

  • @clevelandphil along with Heath Ledger. :3(did i spell his name right?)

  • Thanks for posting. This is great stuff!

  • lol i love how casually alfred walks out of the room :D

  • And now I see where Burton's Batman got the museum scene from.

  • Gives whole new meaning to the saying: Everyone's a Critic

  • hahahahahahaah

  • Remember on "The Proud Family" that Sugar Mama had a boyfriend named Cesar who spoke Spanish (Which he'd insult her in and she had no idea she was being insulted) and resembled the Joker? Brilliant.

  • Batman looks pissed after Joker sprayed him.

  • thank you for posting. love it.
