You're right, he's originally from Germany. I believe he completed his PhD in France, and has worked at several posts in the US, including Clemson University. Dr. Bolands work has over 800 citations, and hes received numerous awards. He was featured on CNN and the Discovery Channel for his groundbreaking research using inkjet printers to assemble cells and biomaterials into viable and functioning structures. Really interesting.

where is dr. boland from, anyway? he sounds german, if i'm not mistaken. does anybody know where he used to study/work before moving to the us?
