Kurt was partially ambidetrous, from what I know, he was right-handed primarily, but played guitar left-handed. Thats just the way he first picked up and played it and it stuck with him that way.

I write with my right hand throw with my right hand, but i play guitar left handed i think its just easier cause. think of it this way when im playing guitar my right hand is on the frets. my left hand strumming, strumming is alot easier to do then play all the notes on the fret board, thats why i don't get why right handed people don't play guitar left handed. I guess its just what you are comfortable with.

i wouldn't say it's because of using the right brain instead of the left, but rather because lefties have to be more inventive on certain situations involving... uhh righty tools... i'm left handed and that's what i usually do with whatever i get my hands on that's right handed... flip it around and use it that way... figuring out how to use it accordingly instead of using it 'ineffectively' with the right hand.
