Honestly the house looks ostentatious, fake, and like the rest of the ornate bastardized McMansions of Whitey ville. Great show, I think they somewhat established that in the series. It's something you have to think about. But it is cool we get see this tour and everything. I wish some one would do a blueprint or aerial layout to what the interior and exterior look like. Oddly enough, we never see the sides of the house. Only front and back.

This is the REAL house used for exterior shooting only, the interior house filming is done on set at Silvercup in New York. This house was only used exterior AND interior in the Pilot episode. They only replicated various parts of this houses' interior for the show that's why most of it looks different.

Also, while watching some season 1 episodes, I noticed a little error.

The Silvercup Studios version features pretty all of the same stuff, with the exception of the fact that countertops are green. Also different is the cooktop/wall oven. The electric cooktop in the recreation does not have any form or ventilation whatsoever, whereas the real kitchen has a downdraft vent.
