X means that they can't put in a certain date. They can't give a specific date because then people will think that these events ( in earthbound) actually occured. So they put in X so that it's in the 1990's but no specific year.

A few things, bearing in mind I haven't played this game:

- The year is.. nineteen ninety ten? what?

- The cop asks you to 'do something' about Pokey; this sounds like your first little quest, but you don't do anything?

- Speaking of which, Pokey is already starting to come across like Cartman. Why you'd claim to be his friend, I don't know..

- What's with this game insisting on sending you back to your room to 'change out of your jammies' all the time?

Well actually by 199X they mean it can be any where from 1990 to 1999.

The rest is just stuff to figure out in due time, I suppose. I haven't played the game either; I just know what 199X means

No, Ness just stole some his moves in Smash from his world saving buddies. PK Fire, PK Thunder and PSI Magnet are some Paula's PSI powers. PK Starstorm is one Poo's. PK Flash is his, however!

I'll watch this video all of them. I'll post tips on how to play this game better when it comes out in the Wii VC in the future. I still have the original SNES version. One of the best RPG.
