As for making a movie based off of the novels seems like a much better idea, but it's still not the best. I'd prefer if we got to explore something new in each form of media that's based off of Mass Effect. There's a whole galaxy and history to explore. Let's exploit it.

Not everyone liked the idea of going off the beaten path. Those side quests were mad boring.
If they did away with those and focused totally on the core game, it'd be a greater linear experience.
