  • 0:36 - who the hell are those boys to the extreme left of the picture??

  • @strasheep uhm....other actors?

  • i just want to see if he does drive to California, just want to see Minnie Driver's face when he turns up, i know it's a cliffhanger so you come to your own conclusions but...

  • LOL Abed and Troy's relationship is beautiful

  • They used my friends house for this movie. The back of Will's house is actually the same house that Rob Williams character lives in lol.

  • @sunflowerpixie1 the shit they can fool ya with in movies huh!

  • Simply this movie makes me cry...

  • elliott smith kicks ass

  • Son of a bitch, he stole my line.

  • what's the song at 0:15 ?

  • what's the song at 0:15 ?

  • ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I EVER SEEN!!!! LOVE IT!!!!

  • 8 fools decided to take the job and not go see about that girl-suckers!

  • it would absolutely suck if she denies him once he actually reaches her, and if she's with another guy....hate to think that though.

  • applesauce bitch

  • anyone know what highway that is????

  • @MrAMERICANxMUSCLE

id assume its highway 90 i think or interstae 90 thats what runs thru massa2shits :)

  • finally, casey got the front seat :D

  • Anyone else think Led Zeppelin's "Going to California" would've been a good fit?

  • @lifestraight that's a great song, but I think it's too fast paced for this ending. Miss Misery is perfect here

  • did anyone know the name of this song?

  • @MrFernsehkritik ok i have found ist: miss misery

  • If Titanic had been made any other year this movie would have been best movie of '97. I think it was but the majority didn't feel the same.

  • GWH got robbed at the Oscars

  • @atlmike2007

Films like this one shouldn't give a shit about the Oscars. They are good in their own right. And ever since the Titanic got a shitload of Oscars I haven't thought much of that award. It's a great film. I thoroughly enjoy it every time. But it's not genious, so I guess it was bound to not have too many awards from the start.

  • i love this ending so much it was such an uplifiting and concluding scene

  • Not sure if most people know this - but the "Son of a bitch, he stole my line" was actually ad libbed by Robin Williams. Kind of has a dual meaning, which makes it pretty hilarious.

  • I love how there is such total tacit agreement within the friendship between Chucky and Will, such understanding even in total silence.

  • i love this ending..this best ending in movie i have ever seen..i am a fan of ben n matt.

  • if you actually really pay attention to the last cut where he is driving down the road...... look at the scenery and pay attention to his car. the fucker must be going only like 20 mph lol. great fucking movie though

  • you have one nice nickname :)

  • yaaaaaaa :D

  • yall know that piece a shhh wont make it to cali

  • i miss the old days when there where actually original screeplays,

today all i see is remakes, sequels and adaptions,

everyday there is a new comic book super hero becoming a movie... -___-'

  • @masondarko

i miss the old days when there were real actors and actresses

today all i see from moives are sex, violence and drugs

everyday there is a new high budget but low life movie being listed for Oscar Best Movie Award

  • Avatar...lol

but you gotta admit that 'The Hurt Locker' did deserve it this year

  • @masondarko because avatar and inception were definitely based on something else.....

  • can anyone tell me wut type of song it is in the begining and it sounds like iv heard songs like this in other movies can n e one plz help

  • what is the name of the song at the and?

    great movie, great soundtrack!

  • Elliott Smith - Miss Misery

  • i lke the bti just before when he realised that hes not gonna nser the door.

  • He's got a long drive ahead of him. Why didn't he just take a plane??

  • He can't afford a plane.

  • Taking a plane leaves you with no sense of accomplishment. If you want to really experience life, get in a car, and just go. It will be the greatest time of your life.

  • I had to go see about a girl!

  • I had to go see about a girl!

  • son of a bitch stole my line

  • beaultiful man

  • Great ending to a great movie.

  • I love this ending. One, because it's not the usual conventional Hollywood ending, e.g., the hero gets the girl and they end up kissing in the rain. Two, because it is SO MUCH BETTER than the usual conventional Hollywood ending. Even though it's not revealed whether or not Will and Skylar end up together in the end, you sort of know in the back of your mind that they do anyway. Alas, the magic of this movie is unexplainable...

  • @ChelseaVL It's a Ben Affleck ending.

  • I think every day on Anna and S.N.J 1977

  • What type of car has Affleck and Damon? The blue and the orange one.

  • : )

  • dang i was pissed off to think this movie ended like this until he went back to get the girl yes i went crazy for a great film needs a great ending for it would of been sad that he left the girl who loved Good thing he chose to get her back awesome. great film great film

  • Matt Damon, Ben Affleck (my favorite in this movie...especially in that construction site scene) and Robin Williams were excellent...

  • i love ben affleck in this movie!!

  • BEAUTIFUL ending...

  • GREAT MOVIE!

  • Best ending line to a film!

  • Son of a bitch...

    he stole my line

  • fucking love that line

  • Comment removed

  • @SweetSoulIAm thanks for regurgitating what the movie said, faggot

  • I´M SO FUCKING AGREE WITH you

    mapscannotcontainme, Both great movies

  • i felt so happy for Chuckie in this scene...he only wanted the best for Will..

  • I can't decide which movie has better ending: this or shawshank redemption.

  • shawshank was epic my friend. this movie was good and had a good ending but shawshank owns everything in existence

  • The last scene gives new meaning to the theme of riding off into the sunset.

It's a beautiful idea for a shot. You guys should extend the clip through the credits.

  • best movie ever, lov it

  • what does robin williams mean when he said "He stole my line"?

  • robin williams said when he was at that baseball game "i have to go see about a girl" to his friends when he met the love of his life. Will found the love oh his life and used the same line...

  • know what was so great about that line? Robin Williams ad libbed it! He was just trying to be funny or do something for the bloopers, and they kept it! thats how great he is as an actor and comedian!

  • See the movie. A fucking fantastic movie, a must see! Damn I love it

  • When Robin Williams went to chase after his wife, the message he left was "I have to see about a girl." He told Matt Damon this, and Matt Damon's note used the same line when he goes to chase after his love interest.

  • what is the song at the end ???

  • Miss Misery by Elliott Smith..greatest singer-songwriter of all time!

  • right...

  • I love how genuinely happy Chucky is when he realizes Will is gone

  • @dybeen

    word!

  • @dybeen well he says the best part of his day is the ten seconds when he goes to his door everyday to see maybe hey, hes gone today, no good bye, no see you later.

  • @MrAMERICANxMUSCLE

Yeah. Which makes Chucky happy even better. Despite knowing he might never see his best friend Will again, he only wants the best for him.

  • @dybeen tough to find friends like that these days

  • @dybeen

    WTF IS WRONG YOU?

  • @dybeen I love how genuinely happy Morgan is to get the front seat.

  • "son of a bitch, he stole my line"

best line in the whole movie

  • it was an improv by robin williams

  • Prove it...

  • Now that Elliott Smith is deceased, this movie has a much more sentimental meaning. For many, it was the first time they had heard of Smith's music, but certainly not the last. You add in the fact that the movie was amazing (probably one of the best in the past 20 years given the cast, plot, MUSIC, setting, etc.) and it really speaks for itself. This movie has a deeper meaning than the other '97 hit Titanic. They will be showing GWH in classrooms for years to come, not Titanic.

  • they could make a following part movie couldn't them?

  • this was a spectacuar movie...."i gotta see about a girl" haha made the movie. =)

  • I hope as the years go by,people realize this was the best picture of the year !!

  • Too bad about Elliott Smith! RIP!

  • Im glad I found this. I couldnt see the ending because the damn DVD Netflix sent me was all scratched up and wouldnt play at the end.

  • any other year this movie would of won best picture but it had to go up against titanic

  • so true

  • i love this movie

  • Who doesn't?..only fools doesn't

  • Only fools doesn't? haha

  • I love soundtracks/movie scores too!!

  • Haha, I love that Robin Williams improvised his "Son of a bitch, he stole my line" line.

  • hahaha funny to know that that wasnt even in the script when he said that.

  • iiiiiiii loveeee elliott smith!<3

  • Elliott smith is the best

good will hunting was a great movie

  • XD!!!

  • what is the orchestral music that is started when ben afflect started walking away from house?

    Danny Elfman?

  • U R CORRECT

  • stop whispering

  • whose is the final song?

  • Miss Misery by Elliott Smith; nominated for an Oscar for original song for GWH, but lost to Titanic.

  • that'S a shame

  • This is a great ending to a film, thankyou for putting this on.

  • Okay i have never watched this movie,

    I know sad huh.

But i'm going to make a promise with myself to watch it.

Any movie with elliott smith songs, i'll die to see :D

  • yea this movie is like built on his music haha

  • what is the music that is started when ben afflect started walking away from house?

  • Do you mean orchestral music?

That's Danny Elfman's wonderful score for the movie.

Not sure of the official OST includes all the cues, but you can probably find an extented version(as with Elman's score for The Family Man)

  • thank you man ;)

  • Drop me a PM..i have a gift for you;)

  • This shouldn't have ended with the big typical classic hollywood music. Just Elliott would have been more than enough and I think that Ben Affleck reaction would have been much more moving without the score. But that's just me.

  • "He's not there."

  • well he couldnt drive there today with the price of gas

  • sure he could,

his buddies stack piled chas in da yad,

plenty of gas in them tanks!

    :P

  • I don't think he could afford anything period.

    Everything's expensive.

  • i like this movie. but the ending isnt so nice now.

    $4 a fucking gallon!! :(

  • son of a bitch he stole my line

  • beautiful:)

  • I was watching this movie at my school today but we didn't finish. Can somone tell me what happened after Will broke with his girl and she left to California?

  • not much, chuckie and the guys bought will a car for a present, and he drove away to see skylar

  • Skylar?? This girl who he broke with? With dark hair?:P

  • yah,who else?

  • If you don't know that did you even watch the first 45 minutes of the fucking film!?

  • Yea, otherwise I wouldnt know that he broke with girl with dark hair, I was just making sure :)

  • I love this movie. I remebered tearing up at the end of it.

  • sonofabitch stole my line

  • this movie and garden state are two of my favorite movies. If matt damon, ben affleck, and zach braff wrote a movie together it would be amazing!

  • good will hunting is actually exceptionally good, certainly worth watching at least once

  • if this movie really sucks, whats a movie in your opinion you feel is far superior? just saying "this movie really sucks" doesn't really say anything... it even won best screenplay, which i know "oscars don't matter," but in a sense that does mean something

  • All too easy a question I know, but... Why seek it out on YouTube?

  • I love ben affleck and matt damon but I wouldn't pay a cent to see Zach Braff-whole

  • I'm not a huge Braff fan either but "Garden State" wasn't bad

  • Elliott Smith!!

  • hey - that horse is a chevy nova from the early 70s.. i miss my bad boy 70 nova. almost same color too, just mine had less bondo ;)

(no - don't post in order - it'll get deleted - post in code)

  • Do it yourself you lazy fucking cunt.

  • This is one of the greatest movies ever.

  • make them by your own u fuck!

  • what the hell is with the "fuck", try saying the word at the rght time....not when it does'nt make sense....god!!....you just think your hot stuff coz you can say fuck when you want..and your parents wont know, coz you a "rebel"....oooooo!!.....prick!

  • actually i take that back..kinda

there was an established structure to the little group and Morgan filling the gap left by Will shows how it will never be the same again.

  • the absolute most important moment in the movie and in the lives of both aflecks character and damons character in all its gravity offset beautifully by caseys (morgan)delight at getting the front seat...two different wavelenghts completely..

    a f**king masterpiece!

  • I loved that moment when Affleck goes to the door and has that expression on his face. It's so beautiful. I don't think any scene in a movie over the past ten years has moved me more.

  • i wanna see this movie!

  • son of a bitch..he stole my line

  • Williams ad-libbed that too lol

  • Great Movie!

  • emotionally stirring movie, with the hero "going to see about a girl" at the end, epic. could those two guys get together and write anything as good as this again, i wonder?

  • Even Casey Affleck and Cole Hauser did everything right in this scene

  • Thanks. Great scene. Ben Affeck did everything right in that beautifully directed scene.

  • Can someone post the break up scene with Will and Skylar? Thankyou <3

  • how do you like that? The prince of joke thieves says someone stole his line

  • YAAAAAAAY! Morgan gets to sit in the front! My thoughts about this film are at easy...jk. Seriously, though. Deep ending to a deep movie.

  • i could watch this movie go on forever...my favorite movie of all time.

  • Such a good freakin movie. Love the last line too.

  • Robin Williams improvised it

  • Love this movie. Love how he goes to find Skylar at the end.
