wow ive always wanted to flyby greenland =)......THIS "technically" counts as flying over greenland so now i just need to fly over the sahara desert :D
Unfortunately yes. Lufthansa did not have PTVs on some of their widebodies until early 2008. Currently only their A340-600s (the plane in this video) and A330s have had PTVs installed since then.
I've flown this route before but on lufthansa's 747 and as of late on an air canada a330-300. I must say I do appreciate lufthansa's food service...do they still serve you two meals...dinner and breakfast...on air canada they only served dinner. Also air canada's a330s have an archaic entertainment system. Thankfully there getting more 777s so everything will be better. thanks for posting. =)
Almost correct. ;) A340-500 is 222ft 5in, but the A340-600, the aircraft that I was on, is 247ft, almost five feet longer than the B773, making it the longest commercial aircraft in the world. :)

@fruitsandclops This was in 2006, when no Lufthansa carriers had PTV. Now all Lufthansa widebodies have it.
fishingwithrod 1 year ago
@fishingwithrod, They don't all have it; The Frankfurt Bangalore run is serviced by Lufthansa 747s that don't have PTVs in economy class

People fly to get from point A to point B. they usualy odn't care how exacactly to do that, as faster the better.
When I fly I think about the plane at the first place and not about the donuts and hot coffe or tea...
