awwwwwe ;'( . that made me so sad!!! I feel so sad for her!!! poor elliot! i've always loved that charater and i never relized really what her job WAS, but not it self but how it effects her and the poeple around her....... i hope i never have to stand and a hospitle and get or give bad news. i don't i'd be strong enough
She never did answer Turk's question. When you saw her walk down the elevator, she was thinking what she should've said. It had been a sullen day, so she was feeling a bit unsatisfied, and disappointed with her job.
This is so sad. I started crying. But: It doesn't sound like Elliot. It does'nt fit to the previous seasons. Like "serst35" wrote. That's not Elliot. She would never say that.
This is so not Elliot. This is just a convenient way for the writers to let her leave. She's meant to be a doctor and would never give it up- that's what the previous seasons have been telling us.
@serst35 when time passes perspectives change and you get new outlooks. Things start wearing down on you more. Maybe in the beginning she enjoyed figuring things out and the feeling she got from the patients wasnt enough to knock that down but after a while it starts to grate on you and before you know it the patients faces really get to you, theres really no satisfaction that lasts and you look back and see frowning faces. So no, the writers are just showing things change. - aunt doctor 11 years
for all intensive purposes, yes. Though a show may continue in some fashion with some of the same characters, Bill Lawrence has said that he views "My FInale" as the end of the series. Anything else that comes is no longer Scrubs, no matter how similar it may be
It was a terrible episode. It was powerful and we finally got to see a very emotional side of Elliot that we had not seen before, but the show was terrible with only two characters.
I wish the idea of Elliot's career story continued better though.
Don't get me wrong though, still love how the show ended and it's a real shame that it's coming back.
why was it terrible? just because it only had 2 main characters?
in my opinion, it was awesome precisely because they were able to produce a very classic "Scrubs-like" emotional, funny episode with only Turk and Elliot. that speaks volumes to the strength and quality of the writing this past season.
i have to agree with this comment. although JD was a huge part of the show. this was one of my favorite episodes.. it will be sad to see JD go however. :[
Of course, and it still is good. But I believe most people's problem, including mine, is that's it's nothing like Scrubs without those characters, especially JD.
scrubs is the best show im gonna miss it so because this the last but i will still always watch it but i havnt watched all the last season i have watched i does any1 no a website i can watch it on in the uk
This scene nearly made me cry. The monologue here made me realize how much I'd actually become attached to the characters and especially Elliot. It's moments like these that make me love Scrubs.
there was talk of continuing the show without Zach and some of the other main characters, which makes sense why they are really focusing on this new batch of interns, to maybe pass the show down onto them.
@blue1231 I know you commented on this a year ago, but Scrubs did restart on ABC a little while ago. It's called "Scrubs: Med School" and they kept the familiars (JD, Elliot, Cox, Kelso, Turk, etc.) on for a few episodes to 'pass the reins' to a younger cast who are in med school right now. I don't like it as much because I've seen the whole show, and it's just not the same for me. I know for a fact it's actually just as funny, but I don't laugh at the jokes.

Sorry two months :)

Elliot is only 3 months in Scrubs terms from 2/3rd's of her wishes.
Not sure how well J.D. is doing financially.
People change, Elliot is her own person and not trying to live up to her dads expectations of her, and thinking she isn't good enough.
Cheers

@serst35 She never leaves though...
And anyway, previous seasons are also in the past of the show. Elliot grew up, and now she has a different prespective. People change.

powerful scene. "My Full Moon," even with the reduced cast, is my favorite episode from this season due to its great balance of comedy and drama.

this shows how scrubs has a chance of still being good without jd, and the others that may not return.

This almost made me bawl when I watched it.
This episode was so funny, but it was so serious at the end. God, I just love this show...

Zach and Judy both said they wanted to leave and Bill Lawrence is not sure if he's going to make a new series/show without them.

Yeah, I dont' think it would be the same though, and do you think that it would still be called "Scrubs"?

there were talks of this, though lately it looks less likely based on what I've read

it wouldnt be the same without them. i think when zach and judy leave, as much as i hate to say it, the show should end.

due to budget constraints, every character will be absent from 2 episodes this season

since the 8th season is the last season of Scrubs, it's just giving the character a bit of closure
