Stop being so smug, nothing "smarter" or "better" about Europeans, any number of peoples were capable of developing modern civilizations, which would have been better for world than European worldwide carnage.

Europeans were unwashed barbarian savages with axes lurking in dark northern forests, who were good only at warfare and bloodshed. So they destroyed Rome. They were also good at theft, all their technology was stolen from ancient Greek, Arabic and Roman civilizations. They got plenty of slavery and warfare ideas from Rome, which was savage itself, but not as bad as them. After they tired of killing and torturing each other in the Dark Ages, then they unleashed their savagery on the whole world.

the only reason why it was europeans and not others that ended up dominating this world for centuries was that they, unlike all others simply COULD. no one else had the MEANS. due their technological/military superiority from a certain point in time on. you blame them for coming out on top in a cruel game that the whole world was playing? from the Aztec to the Zulu, Moguls (India) Arabs, Turks, Egyptians, Israelis, Huns, Moguls, Persians, Romans, Japanese, Chinese etc etc etc?

Mongols were the worst examples of "barbarian" conquerers but even they don't compare to "european empires" which globally wiped out native cultures, languages, people & environments. In 1700/1800's Europeans were like a plague of greedy locusts, wiping out natives, plant & animal species around the globe. Even Mongol "barbarians" didn't practice global cultural & environmental annihilation. In the end they allowed natives to practice languages & cultures, integrating people into Mongol state

yeah sure the people who accepted mongol masters, who didnt resist, didnt get raped and slaughtered like countless others from asia to the middle east and europe. the british had even a larger empire than the mongols. they didnt harm anyone that didnt resist british rule and masters either. why kill people off that can work for you and pay taxes and all that.

If you noticed, I'm not excusing any ancient peoples who were in the busines of killing and conquering-and muslim crusaders were humanitarians compared to the others. I'm just pointing out Europeans were the most destructive force in history and are responsible for the modern mess. Now the worldwide destruction is mostly carried out by modern powers-US, Japan, China and other nations that follow the early European example-today Europe has abandoned its colonialism, but still plays a minor part

people everywhere throughout the history of this world did the same as Europeans. even long before (thousands of years before the Europeans). the first contact the tribal northern europeans had with civilisazation was roman conquerers who slaughtered and enslaved them. it was THEM who followed other people's example. the example of romans and greeks and egyptians and assyrians and indians and chinese etc etc. of all the much older ancient civilzations
