not really as the spartans had homosexual sex when they "worked out". not that it is anything wrong with that but they were the most gay culture ever in history.
@Jonth93 The overhead presses swinging up from the ground engage nearly the whole body,(Legs, hips, back, abs and shoulder,bi's and triceps) the constant repetition also trains your endurance/fat burning at the same time not to mention your mental will. You would be quite tempted to quit before finishing your minute.Traditional wieght training sculps your specific vanity/beach muscles for looking good.Kettlebells train strength/ endurance/performance to be stronger than you look.
@Jonth93 No prob.Thats just a description in a nutshell. From my own personal experience and research.I like using timers so my rest periods arent too long.or my workouts.2hr marathon sessions in the gym or whatever arent necessary. You wont have that excuse that you dont have enough time to fit a workout in your busy day. 1 good Kettlebell(s) give you an intense workout in a short amnt of time and can replace a large number of different pieces of equipment. Call it a hand held gym!
Wow! Great workout man! Love your workouts - you have'em with kettlebells, gym equipment, dumbells and with nothing using just your body! Post more videos pleas! By the way greetings from Russia!
Hey funk! Love your videos man, keep it up! But im curious about something; Im currently doing the Steve Cotter kettlebell upper body workout on mondays/thursdays and lower body tuesdays/fridays. Would it be overkill doing this workout aswell a couple of times a week? And, if not, when would you do em? thx bro! :D
@dagizz1982 Depending on your goals you can add this in as the 5th workout of the week - Full Body Kettlebell Strength, Power, Explosiveness and Conditioning
this is a great video...gives me more of a variety for my workout and I'm female. I'm always looking for better kettle workouts. I liked this one. Thanks :)
so if u wanna train for mma u should do core workouts instead of weight lifting? or should u mix them both in like weight lift for 3 months then core workouts for 3 months someone please answer i dont know alot about building muscle and what song is this????
@conndstevejam If you're a guy, no this is not enough weight for you. I'm 5'4, 135 and am using a 15 lb bell to work my way back into working out regularly.
@demolayakp If it keeps hitting your wrist either try a lighter weight and it that doesnt work buy some hand wraps that you put under boxing gloves to stop it causing damage
@MyNameBeJrock im no puss. i was just asking if its normal to feel pain while doing this. i've been working out for over 8 years already. but i must admit im new to kettlebells. forgive me for being too cautious. ive seen and experienced problems by doing workouts without proper execution or form. and sadly have hurt myself several times by telling my self "not to be a puss" when in fact I did it the wrong way.
Wow - I really should borrow some ideas from this! I just picked up a kettlebell a few weeks ago and have put together a video of some of the basics for it. However this routine in your video could really help my students a lot for competitions! Kudos!
i like all ur vids but wat sorta food does he eat and does he doin any running coz i do loads of cuicurts like that n a few weights days n dnt look like that any help plzzzz cheers
@filthywilfy every1 diet has 2 be different but i found out that if u eat high protein and low carbs u can lose weight fast without become weak n have less energy. try 2 stay away from carbs, sweets, and cut out the pop. i do high protein low carb its working great for me. also, when u exercise go full speed and work out ur whole body. keep changing exercises cause it causes ur metabolism to rise n make u sweat more. with my diet n how i workout i went from 290 to 265 in 2.5 weeks.
@babyface0514 yea i do like 3/4 days cuircuts n kettlebells n a day weights n a day thai boxing but me diets shit i used 2 eat low carbs but now i just cnt get into it ahaha but i 4ort the training im doin i shud lose weight but im goin more stocky lol is kb training best 4 loseing body fat
1st day on your workout and the verdict was ...........great =] .the skipping gave me a head rush at first cause i was trying the skip as fast as rocky balboa!!!!! lol but anyways i slowed that shit down and i was fine then and doing the whole kettle bell thing to workout left me nackerd but feeling very pumped up so its all good =] cheers for this vid and keep them coming mate

Funk-great video-we are middle aged recreational boxers, but with good fitness levels. Firstly, what weight should we use ? Also,is there any rest period or is it a straight 20 mins ?thanks
@bigmeatj personally i exercise 5 days a week. i go mon tues wed off thurs, back on fri and sat than off sun. when u done working out take a cold bath or really hot bath so ur muscles dont get really sore n u wont be to tired or sore for the next day
@mackhomie you can do any (just about that is) kbell excercise with a dumbell, but mind you a kbell has the weight distributed differently then a dumbell does, so it works your body differently.
Thanks for the video looks good, I have just purchased some kettle bells and do a lot of skipping too so this should be good, keep em coming.............

@isenstrider Seem to be working for him. And he doesn't seem to be doing anything extreme to where he is putting himself at high risk of injury. Other than, you know... swinging around something heavy.
hey guys im wondering shal i add this b4 my boxing workouts or in my weight days??? since im thinkin of adding kettlebell workouts so shal i add this workout in my b4 boxing workouts or in my weight lifting workout days?
He does make several errors, but he is obviously fit so I don't think he will injure himself.. Regarding the swings a slightly heavier weight might force correct hip motion. Also, you need to always keep the wrists straight (only a few exceptions). When doing an overhead snatch/lift your arm should travel in a straight line upwards, close to your ear, classic error is to sort of push the weight away from the body. Also, when you clean the weight it should rest on your arms closer to your center.
I like the idea...the swing form is terrible. The idea of the swing is to bend at the hips not the legs and waist. your arms should be loose so only your hip power is throwing the kettlebell up without using your arms at all.
@Bobby25ification The calories burned depends on how much you weigh. But this type of workout will keep your calories burning for several hours later. So it's almost impossible to tell the true number of calories burned.
@love44jesus4ever They increase the muscles in your triceps and fore arm area, so yes, your punches will do more damage. Having bigger knuckles will also aid, a lot.
Nice. I used to do the exact same workout back when I blew my MCL. My grappling coach had me jump rope and swing his KB around to keep my leg strong. 4 months later I actually feel better than I did before my accident. Seriously, before, I was a Kettlebell skeptic... now, I seriously am a believer.

This routine is very reminiscent to the High Octane Cardio routine made by Mike Mahler. HOC blends cardio with strength work, like boxers usually do (roadwork). I did a routine like this during the summer with a 35 lb Kettlebell:
1 min Jump rope
10 KB Clean & Jerks each arm
