To Be honest American werewolf was better in transformation and looks. BUT, Michael Jackson wins this one because he actually scared people with his transformation. That shit made me shit my pants when i saw MJ's. its because it was faster and more surprising. Not only that, its a movie vs a music video. NO ONE does that stuff on music video's. The two films were directed by the same filmmaker (John Landis), and the make-up effects were achieved by the same artist (Rick Baker), so it's a tough call to decide which is better. The Thriller transformation is more economical, achieving a lot with a few shots, plus a dynamic close-up "reveal" at the end; while Amer Were uses more and longer shots, and is very unsettling and weird, even painful to watch, but has a less satisfying "reveal" at the end. Amer Were wins for sheer scariness.
