Always I love the trademark Dodge but in special the pick - up's. This model of Dodge is one of my favorites. For me, all the models of pick - up's are my favorite. Thanks Don Knotts for put your image for the sold of this pick - up. Congratulations from Lambayeque - Peru.
*sigh* i used to own a 1970 D100. it was the short box, with a 225 straight 6, with a "three-on-the-tree". it was the best truck ive owned. it definitely turned alotta heads.
Awesome truck! I've always thought the Dude was the best looking truck I've ever seen. While I wouldn't want to buy a truck from Barney Fife (Don Knotts), if you're gonna have a working truck, though, you're gonna want to have something nice to cruise around the neighbourhood in on weekends, eh?
seeing this makes me wanna make one of those 1970 dude's in a short bed version in plum krazy purple and with the black roof and side stripe colors. but with a modern 528 fuel injected hemi and a 6 speed.
Check out those Brand New D100 taillights they are selling on Ebay, they rock!! I wish I could get Clear front lenses too, any clue where can I find them?
i have one of these in my back yard its pretty ruff looking but i was thinking of getting it rebuilt. it has the 383 four barrel. sublime green with black strip. 2000 ever made thats fairly rare right ???. its either that or a 1973 charger 400 magnum which one should a guy restore ?
haha sorry the restoration on the dude has already begun. i was going to restore the charger just becasue its been in the family since 1988 but thier was just way too much rust to deal with.
The sound of engine in this model is unique. I like.

this wasn't Dodge's first muscle truck. in 1964 thru 1966 they had the HPP package, HPP is High Perfomance package
426 street wedge 365 Horspower, very rare. They also had the CSS package that could be ordered with the HPP package.
the CSS (custom sports special) package came with bucket seats, center console and more

@REHJR2008 Plum Crazy YES, but with White stripes, top, & interior. I didn't know Plum Crazy was a color choice til I did some research on the DUDE.

Did they make the dudes in shortbed?
Chevrolet8608 2 years ago
Nope... Only were made in the 128" wheelbase,
not in the 114" wheelbase, (shortbox).
There is a lot of info. about them on the official
Dodge Dude website.
