The old film starring James Mason definately inspired the decor and music for this attraction. Why Disney doesn't build a version in Fronteir Land at Disney Land is beyond me. Walt loved Juels Verne. They were considering building somthing silimar in fronteir land. It was called "Gyeser mountain" were guests would board a steampunk style vehicle and drop down a mine shaft. The technology for Tower of terror was originaly built for it but it never came to be. Plenty of space in Thunder Ranch

Seems kind of like Expedition Everest? Ya know, dark, mountain roller coaster. With the mysterious mountain beast that shows itself right before the gigantic drop? Oh, and is the Beastly Kingdom thing just a fan rumor or a Disney rumor?

@BRENN0C1 Oh, they were planning it, but the Imagineers weren't paid so they jumped ship and gave their ideas to Universal Studios. The end result was the Dueling Dragons coasters.

@olivjuice013 No it is based off the book by Jules Verne. Disney doesn't own the movie, Universal does. But Universal's movie is also based off Juless Verne's book.

This is the actual theme song of the attraction itself. I think it is titled "Hidden Frontier" but not 100% sure. It is played in the queue and throughout the ride. Definitely beautiful! Tokyo DisneySea probably sells theme-park CD's just like WDW and DLR does in the U.S. with ride songs. I would love to have this one.

i was only 5 when i went on this ride, i almost screamed to death!!! it was so freaky buti havent been on that ride since then cause i live in england. but im going this year and im ready to go on the ride again. BRILLIANT VIDEO!

Looking at the scale from someone walking across the metal bridge relative to the mountain top, (all fake I take it,) what an impressive work of creative engineering constructing this mountain must have been. What kind of a tedious, tireless, particular perfectionist must have designed in every single and uniquely contoured support member? Amazingly realistic.

Hey i heard that they may put this ride in animal kingdom in Disney world in like 2012 or 2013 when they come out with there new area called beastly kingdom. I think its gonna be the main attraction there. It would be awesome to have that ride in animal kingdom and i can't wait till it comes out.

@johnjacob007 Wouldn't that be bad for Dinosaur and Expedition Everest? They should just open a whole new (5th) park in Orlando and have the best rides from Disney Sea, Disneyland Paris, and Honk Kong Disney there

God...I wish they would. altho Disneyland is my second favorite Disney park in America(Epcot beign my first) it's neighbor is my least favorite of the 6 and it could use something liek this
