Sorry for misdirecting the credit to whom did the work. I misunderstood your husband's message on Deviant. I thought he drew it and you created, edit and uploaded the video. I did not realize you did the work until I saw the finish piece among his favorites when I went back to Deviant to pass the link to a friend. Sorry.
That was so helpful! I love it when artists post video tutorials. They help so much more than regular tutorials.
Question: after you color over something with that bright purple, how do you select it? It's probably a really basic function but I'm sort of new to the digital art thing and completely self-taught so I don't know about a lot of stuff.
oh that bright purple is actually a mask, you click on the rectangle with that red circle on the bottom of your toolset and then you draw on the area you want to select, and when you click on that rectangle again that area is selected and you can paint on it. you can change the color of the mask, usuallyits red in default pshop i changed it to purple because i like that color^^
oh and no worries im self taught too so i understand how you feel :)
sorry its rectangle with circle, ot red circle.. i got that one wrong. its 2nd from bottom to be exact. you can even see it on the still image of this last video.
I was working on a piece last night that was really testing me and this series of videos gave me at least three really good tips just on first watch. Thank you so much for posting them.
@calistolynn I just saw the finished product on Deviantart. WOW is that amazing! I use a Wacom Pen (small) and its ok to use, but i never would be able to do this :D how long did it take?
Much inspiring. It's very nice to see the workflow of other artists. Got some new tips during this aswell. Thank you very much for sharing this.
And ofcourse, beautiful work there.
