  • I watch this video a lot so there might be lots of comments from me so on to the subject. Um I'm going to buy a lamp and does the lamp's light come from the side or the top? And if you can what version of ott-lite is it?

  • @amyxxxify I don't know what version it is, but it's an older one, so I don't think the exact model matters. And the light comes from the top.

  • Wow great idea i have the same camera and light I will have to try this. Thanks Again

  • how do you get ur iphone to not have big black lines beside the vid when u post them?

  • @kyzelf1 Hold it sideways. If you hold the phone vertically, you will get a vertical video. If you hold the phone sideways, you get a horizontal video. It's the same as taking pictures.

  • @zkittyz thanks!

  • Wow. Do you know of other ways on how to set up the camera if i dont have one of those lamps

  • Hi zkitty ^.^ i really admire ur work and videos, i love how you go into details and you inspire me and i want to try and make videos of my own even though it will be quiet difficult since im just 13 xD. And i just want to know whitch ott lite do you use so i can attempt to make videos and finally use my youtube account :3

  • @5405angel Well you can see it in the video. It doesn't have a specific model name.

  • haha, i love your huge copic collection, sometimes i wish i could afford that many - but i havent even tried them, maybe they wont suit me as an artist

  • Thank you !

  • @zkittyz oh so could you tell me the name plz? :3

  • @amyxxxify Ott-Lite

  • How much is that lamp? :3

  • @amyxxxify It was a birthday present.

  • @amyxxxify Its 25$ at Deserres but thats in Canada so i dont know how much it is at Michaels

  • How much do colic markers cost and where can u get them??

  • A smart idea, i've seen many ways to make a video, you have one of the best

  • @Aspharro Thanks! It's crude, but it works!

  • thank you so much for this idea zkittyz even though I have not been keeping up with my manga, which is kind of bad considering i was starting to get really good, but i can now start making new videos yay ^^ thanks for the camera idea im sure it'll work for my webcam i think o.o i havnt gotten my actual camera fixed yet

  • Genius!

  • *copic

  • Dang! Colic markers are hecka expensive! D:

  • Cool! Im going to start filming manga videos btw I'm only ten :) but the one way I was going to film them is on my toilet O.o till I saw this! Thanks for showing this!

  • hahaha good Idea!! u remeber me! when i put the camarera in the box of my copic XD . but! i have a question!! where u buy this lamp!!!??? D:!! is really cool! i have one but i think dont iluminate really good :(!!!

    and! why u dont buy a Tripode? i like 15 $

and!! D: i like where you put the copics!! hahha

pd: sorry XD if i write bad XD i'm learn english xD

  • thanks so much for this ^^ you have an amazing collection of copics~~~ ^^

  • yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay i'm so happy >w<

  • woops I accidently responded to the wrong video ;~;...

  • This is really helpful! Now I can find a way to position my camera so it sees the whole picture!

  • OMG!! are all those markers on that shelf Copic markers?!?! NICE!!! wish i had that kind of desk/lamp/markers!!!

  • I know you said in your video that the nasty stickies don't stick to your camera screen, but does the tape leave any residue or any sticky remnants at all?

  • @XpurplepeopleeaterXX Not on the camera, no. Once I left the camera taped to the lamp for like a week and there were some stickies. But if you take the tape off the camera within a day or so, it shouldn't stick. Depends on the surface of your camera and the brand of tape.

  • @zkittyz ok thanks because I've been trying to figure out a way to set up a camera for a loong time haha and your idea is perfect! (I also have a Nikon coolpix- Nikon Coolpix's are my favorite cameras )

  • How many Gb on ur sd card do you have and how many minutes does it record, becuase my camera is a Fujifilm and i have a 4gb card and it only records less than 10 minutes of footage and i need more!!!!

  • @jackichiban94 I have a 16G class 10 memory card. I don't know how long it can film because I didn't keep the packaging and I have never recorded long enough to max out the card, but I've had video clips for a single speed drawing video totaling an hour, filmed in 1080p. It also depends on the type of camera you use because different cameras record video in different file sizes. (Also depends on the video quality setting you choose.)

  • Sticky tape solves everything!

  • thank you for showing your camera set up, I've bee having a hard time, beecause my camera was behind me, i keep bumping into it haha.....I really like how my videos look now...thanks for the tip :)

  • Where can you get this incredible lamp?!! Did you get it from the internet?

Your way of explaining stuff is really good!

  • @vinnihirumichan First line of the video description...

  • I see your copics....

    *drools*

    luckyy......

  • how much was the camera?!?!?!?!?! :)

  • genious

  • i love the way you explained it! i have that camera too and that lamp looks really affordable. thanks!! :D

  • I was wondering how to take a good picture of a drawing.

I have a deviantART account, and I really like posting art, but every time I try and take a picture, the lighting is always weird. Could you give me any tips?

  • @gottafindN It's better if you have a scanner because that transfers your art directly to your computer and you dont need good lightning.

  • @gottafindN I don't have picture taking tips because I use a scanner.

  • very handy. thanks!

  • so thats how you do that.

  • OMG I have the same camera, and this helped me a lot!!!!

  • you can remove the "nasty stickies" with rubbing alcohol :)

  • Thanks for showing us how you set up your camera ... your way's lot more sofisticated than the way I do it ... 'cause I don't have a lamp on my desk, I just tape a hanger (that I stick the camera on with tape) between two waterfilled PET-bottles.. haha xD

  • Hey zkittyz, not 2 sound stalkery but how old are you, because i am 14 and am getting out of published a dojinshi level and into akamaru jump. now i know that isnt that impressive, but i have only been Drawing true manga for 5 MONTHS. my partner Takashi (pen name) always says stuff like "oh Jushiro (pen name) your art is perfectaly fine to get a series in weekly shonen" Maybe i'll post a video of my artwork once i get a new G-pen, since my last one was a piece of crap. Oh ya Goo gone will work

  • @JZstudiosZN can i see it? (DA, upload, scan, picture w/e) i wanna see how good you are ;p

  • @JZstudiosZN yeah me too! :DD

  • @JZstudiosZN Takashi and Jushiro, huh? Sounds a lot like Takagi and Mashiro. And all this talk about Akamaru and Shonen Jump...someone has been reading too much Bakuman!

  • i have only read 1 issue of bakuman just so u know and i nvr thought of it like that. we choose our pen names cause they started w/ the same letter as our real names. we chose shonen cause thats just our genre, and we are a little young......DANG!!!

  • omg thats so cool xD

  • Thanks i've been thinking of doing a tutorial video but i never could get the camara right.

  • Nice! I have the same camera only it's red~

  • i have quite problem setting up my camera but now you gave me an idea thanks^^

  • thats cool i wondered how you did it, i wonder how Mark Crilley sets up his camera

  • but what if my lamp is different? D:

  • @MsBleachFan101 Depending on the style of lamp and camera, you could probably still use tape to put the two together.

That's what I do for mine, but I don't use the light of the lamp since the webcam sits right on the bulb.

  • You could probably use a small bit of comet and water with a toothbrush to get that gunk out of the grooves of your lamp. Just make sure you don't use too much water, don't want to frazzle anything.

Thank you for showing us your set up. :3

  • @zkittyz since you are using a more powerful camera now, that will take clearer more precise shots, you might want to think about getting a nice tripod (i use manfrotto) and do like an over the shoulder shot. Might work just as well, w/o all the packing tape :)

  • 0_0

daaang thats a looooooot of tape xD

  • @zkittyz do you like the ciao or sketch markers better when you color?

  • thats cool i have a camara holder umm but its a different one its cool though how you did it... ^_^
