The item does not appear in the boss room. You need to exit the room, make it past the spiked rooms again, and access the door in the bottom of the area. Ignore the doors and head to the gate on the other side. An item called "Mysterious Fragment" is present...take it.

By the way, you need to win the game first before you can use model OX. After you win the game, talk to the guy in the database room, and Model Omega is yours.

@FFRrox you need to input a megaman zero 3 or megaman zero 4 gba cartidge in ur ds gba slot and if you have megaman zero 3 enter the first door if you have 4 enter the second door before the room with the model then you will fight the first 4 bosses of that game then get out and go to the room with the model a floating rock will be there grab it complet the game and omega is urs after you talk to Fleuve

Now THIS is what I call phenomenal game skills!

I've played this game over and over (as it's one of my favorites in the whole Mega Man franchise), so I know how beastly hard this guy is. To call him a homicidal maniac on speed would be an understatement; even on normal mode with all 4 lifeups he can kill you in like 8 seconds flat. I still only use my buster and need to use a sub tank against him... and you were able to beat him without getting hit once, with the saber, on HARD. Awesome.

all I can say is awesome I have trouble with him on normal mode as in needing at least 2 sub tanks but you you pretty much destroyed him. I understand this fight requires a touch of luck if you wanna do a no hit run but seriously you had lightning fast reflexes during that fight. My hat is off to you.

@AveonWolf if i was you i would get all the life up places.(which you can find on youtube also.)and get all 4 subtanks.then goto guardian hq and talk to the chick with the bazooka down in the engne room.talk to her 3 times and she will ask if u wanna buy something for 200 ec.buy it and it is a thing that fully restores your health.so then you basically have 5 subtanks.
