I chugged one of these at the beach when i was completely sober... i didnt really feel that drunk afterwards either... not as drunk as 12 oz of 18.2% alc should make me... i think theyre lying on the alc %. and WTF, mine was spelled "Tokio." all the same design/bottle art though

The paper clip should have read..this beer is so EXPENSIVE its a binge drinking cure!....the abv has nothing to do with drinking habits...apart from putting most people off drinking it!.....even if its a great beer i wouldn't pay a tenner for what amounts to a few sips...i love most brewdog beers but they dont like to give you much for your money!...

OH man just brought this bitch Tokyo and its is one of the most intense beeers i have tried yet.. it has more flavors then u can taste! 8.7 stars!

just tried your 77 lager and punk IPA. Beautiful work, the 77 in particular has renewed my faith in lager as a drink. Once my next paycheck goes through I am ordering a premium mixed box. I cannot WAIT to try the tokyo and riptide.

Jesus. I can't imagine most alkies will be looking forward to spending £9.99 on a 330ml bottle of 18.2% boutique ale that actually TASTES, when they can get a 3 ltr of super strength cider for £2, or 375ml of 40% whisky/vodka/indeterminate alcohol for less than a fiver.

If you want to try and slam binge drinking you'll have to look a lot lower than these guys. They're at the top of the beer chain. You need to be looking for the companies that make tasteless strong "drinks" for a pittance.

fair point..i guess most junkies an students aint gnna be able to afford it. wats real irresponsible is tesco's value beer. 4 packs for 88p. i dunno if they still sell it bt 22 for a can of beer is riduclous

thats very true actually. in most cases the cheapest of ciders can taste nicer than most beers so i dont know why people are crying over this being so strong. really want to try it though

Do RESEARCH mate. I work in an off sales and if anything needs to be moderated its the endless deals of THREE bottles of wine for £10. USE YOUR BRAIN its 3x 75ml of wine at 13% not one 33ml bottle of 18% beer. I have literally served people to their death on these 3 for £10 wine deals. If anyone has a problem with this beer after doing research on the product then they should go to their local G.P. and get their brain scaned you may have a problem

I totally agree with your philosophy too and think as is always the case the press sensationalise anything in the typical tabloid way that they do simply to make money.

Ooh, I want a couple of these. One to try soon, and one or two to save for a special occasion. How long do you recommend storing them for? (Sadly I don't have a beer/wine cellar, but at least I have a dark cupboard...)

And isn't it great how the anti-drinking campaigners have helped you advertise this beer? You'd be forgiven for thinking they'd go after the stuff the unwashed masses drink, but raising awareness of better ways of drinking is every bit as fine in my book.
