I should note that I don't think we single handedly saved Europe, but I doubt that the Nazis would have been defeated without the aid of American troops and the war materials that the USA had been supplying to the allies.

America is pretty damn fat and it's not due to it's large population at all, it would still have a large percentage of fat people if the population was only say 50 mil. The countries below America are barely even countries and the UK is alot further behind America than you think. Far as a nation's economic strength - as military power is soon going to be a non issue for international penis contests.
America is tied to China and Japan, one for low cost production which fuels intra-national economic growth, one for high tech. Both of these nations we've screwed in the Wall Street meltdown.
Furthermore we've butchered our educational system, and economy will soon follow if this pitiful state of events is allowed to continue (which so far all things indicate that it will)

It is the fact that such channel exist that makes Brits laugh. It took me 4 days to realise it wasn't a sitcom, but a rolling news channel. UK news channels tend to be far more balanced and independent than American channels, that is why it took yanks longer to realise the Iraq war was a mistake.

I actually like Britain a lot and know quite a bit about history as it is one of my favorite subjects. The point I was making is that race relations in the US are no more of an issue in todays society than they are in European countries, and actually probably less than an issue than in most Eastern European countries. The Wright Brothers had the first sustained and controlled heavier-than-air powered flight. While other things such as gliders were created before, this was the first true airplane

To be honest, American probably did save Europe. I know that is difficult to accept for some anti-American Europeans, but it is a fact that is pretty hard to deny when you think about it logically. Columbus was the first European to visit the Americas and document that visit, before he and his fellow European colonials wiped out most of the indigenous pulation and enslaved the rest.

I think u mean once, war 1812 usa started by invading Canada which they failed at then we burnt down Washington, then we lost the battle of New Orleans. Throughout the war of 1812 Britain was fighting napoleon. The war ended in a peace no-one won (Canada did in a way tho). btw Britain isn't shit, it aint perfect but its not shit. we have free health care, welfare etc. college is free to people on benefits or 18- lots of things. The gov paid £800 for travel assistance so i could go to college.

Yeah but a lot of those benefits don't apply to English people though. Theres another flaw with the UK government. The Scottish, Welsh and N. Irish have their own government and their own national day and have their colleges paid for them and they can decide what goes on in England but not the other way round.
