  • How many kilometers räckvidd? (range)

  • @WalkieTalkie446mhz That depends on your location at the time. The best i have had with doing tests with a friend of mine is 7 miles.

  • hi! how long does the battery last on a full charge? Would I need a couple of spares if i went camping? thanks good video btw

  • @detjkimbell 10 hrs.

  • Spend money to listen to radio and commercial garbage

  • @LottsaLasagna ?????? Don't spend money on one and you won't have to listen to sod all!

  • @2e1dxy I own many for communicating ..I can just turn on the local radio if i want to here trash.

  • @LottsaLasagna I communicate on mine too and listen to the broadcast bands when there is something interesting on. It's a useful feature as i can listen to my local football team when they are playing! Why take out two radios when the Baofeng does it all?

  • рация зарекомендовала себя и в России! Не плохо иметь такую в покатушках, с hands free....

  • @lander435 Can somebody translate?

  • @2e1dxy In Soviet Russia radio listens to you.

  • Im building a 2 meter ground plane to fit to my uv3r will let you know how it works out.

  • @coopercraft I look forward to it!

  • @coopercraft Please, keep me informed as well! I am wondering how two watts fare with an external antenna on both base, and Mobile operation. Thank you! Sweat equity is well worth any efforts for doing anything, in my opinion! As long as it works, there is satisfaction! Please keep in touch. Shawn.

  • Will this Nagoya NA-666 antenna improve range from the original 2M?

  • @todd987 When i tested the NA-666 locally there was an improvement of an s2 on my tx signal.

  • anyone know how to set the repeater access code in one of them

  • @100msw Ahh it has arrived now then? Yesterday you left a comment saying it hasn't and to avoid Radiogearpro!, if you have got it then nice one! To set the repeater access code go to the menu by pressing the menu button then go to menu number 2 by rotating the the channel selector then push the u/v button then use the channel selector knob to choose which code you want then the u/v button again. Hope this helps 73's

  • @2e1dxy Just uploaded an instruction video on how to Factory reset the new UV 3R as the instruction manual needs revised may come in handy sometime.

  • @100msw Nice one!

  • Thanks for this. This ham does care about FM radio reception. I thought the Diamond was the best, but I would think the Nagoya should be #1. Perhaps we could have a QSO on a Bristol repeater next month. UV-3R to UV-3R. :)

  • @maplewoodsp Yeah no problem! 73's

  • i have same radio here.. can you please tell me what type of adapter to used to connect on external antenna for this radio. what size?

    please reply asap....

  • @chiccojerry SMA MALE to So239 if your antenna has a Pl259 connector on it.

  • Do the test in the ham bands. That is were the antennas are desing to work best. No one care the receotion of fm radio.

  • @linuxelmejor If you read the video description then you will see that i have stated that the difference is comparable with the local repeaters, the reason why i have tested it on the broadcast band is there is very little activity on the repeaters! I have posted another video of the radio activating the local repeaters if this is what your interested in?
