  • hahahahhahahhahaha.....

  • its true... :P it is almost impossible for a mac to get a virus...

  • Haha that's adorably funny.

  • BSOD is a diagnostic utility, atleast windows has one. When your mac goes completely apeshit and kernel panics try showing me a detailed diagnostic error report explaining exactly why and what caused the issue... oh wait there isn't one so have fun spending hours pissing in the dark to randomly maybe find the source of your issue

  • lol lol

i literally fell off from my chair

  • True Story...LOL

  • LOL.

  • I cra**ed myself, it is sooooooooo funny

  • Or you messing up with drivers/registery/boot sector/viruses(torrent, porn)/ or just plain RAM/Kernel/Windows bugs

  • heh that only happens when your using up to much ram or somthing importent is deleted or corrupted

  • poop poop

  • hahaha

  • ahahah!

  • hahahaha!

  • LOL! Lamo. Apple can not do that!

  • @jefftheghostinc mine can if i want it to

ill just play a video from you tube showing bsod XD

  • That's a hardware problem lol

  • at least if I get BSOD, im allowed to fix it my self, you know, like install a new hard drive with greater capacity, and then use my backup to replace all of the files, and this would cost about... $150 plus shipping...

  • That is a hardware problem, not software lol

  • @Ottieke16 It could be both really.

  • @Ottieke16 wrong. it can be a driver problem, that's software ;)

  • can you do this. i thought he was going to do somthing good but instead breaks down lol

  • I have the same laptop... stupid V5535 :/

  • Try not to laugh at 0:30. This might be so difficult.

  • love it xD

  • alienware is the best...

  • a bsod only happens when some hardware is corrupt or you screw up files. its not windows itself.

  • @DarkEmoE My Windows ME used to get the BSOD every time you took a disk out...

    But Windows is better now!

  • @TheMitchDoes that would be a hardware problem. but yeaa now even with hardware problems the BSOD is rare

  • @DarkEmoE True and yet false, normally you can run Linux just fine for diagnostics while Windows is f**ked up, so I would still consider Windows to be the main problem since it fucked up the hardware in the first place...

  • And this used to be such a nice environment. Snow Leopard + FCP7 + Motion 4 + Cinema 4D -> it worked flawlessly. The lately added "innovations" just destroyed what earlier generations were working for. Shame on you Apple!

  • With Apple's current policy regarding software development every pro editor/artist/etc will leave this platform. I'll stick to the FCPX topic because it shows the lack of respect for the users. New updates not only tend to trash hundreads of hours spent on editing but also convert projects so you can't even open them in an earlier version (if App Store allowed you to download it...). Also, try and open a fairly simple project. BOOM, 50% RAM gets cut off. Quit the app - it's still in your memory!

  • haha lol i dont think apple can do anything like that

  • Hey apple, can you do this (Ctrl+x, Ctrl+v)? Umm, sure, just give me a moment to download additional software to be able to do this BASIC operation...

Apple's software gets worse and worse and any pro OSX Lion/FCPX user will agree. Of course I use them too, not because I want to but because I have to (at work). And these aren't some crappy old MacBooks, brand new iMacs! Damn you and your preschool programmers Apple!

PS. Bootcamp? Yeah, pay 4x more than for a PC to emulate it in the end...

  • @eleyaro did you know that command + x, command + v does the exact same thing on a mac without any extra software?

  • @eleyaro dude, on a mac, you just use cmd+x, cmd+v. It´s really just the same thing. Highlight everything? cmd+a. Sure, mac is different but of course you gotta get used to it. As ive stated earlier here i use mac with bootcamp. The reason for this is simply so that i can game with windows and do my video editing with mac. And i have to tell you, i can easily play skyrim with descent graphics, and FSX with ultra high. And when it comes to the video and image editing, mac is the real deal.

  • @kkdjen, I can use cmd+x, cmd+v but only when TotalFinder is installed, otherwise it doesn't work (tried by everybody at work with all of our iMacs). Besides, selecting a link or a short line of text - GOD FORBID to move the cursor a bit higher/lower (depending on the direction) - it will be deselected ("DAMN!!"). Also, lack of high end graphics (crossfire, nvidia practically doesn't exist on this platform) and a decreasing number of FCP users = bye bye Apple. Money >>> happy consumer.

  • @eleyaro Bootcamp doesn't emulate anything. Today's Macs are just Intel machines so they can boot into Windows. All bootcamp does is take care of things like partitioning your hard drive and setting up the appropriate Windows drivers. The reason Windows users would have a hard time doing the same thing (using OSX on a machine not distributed by Apple) is that OSX doesn't support as wide a range of drivers and Apple has security-measures to make sure OSX doesn't run on random hardware.

  • @stinky472, I know that Intel-based Macs are very similar to current PCs but I don't think that they are the same (from the technical point of view). If they were then it would have been a total waste of money, hackintosh fans would have cracked the OSX restrictions already. But then again who would want Lion installed on his/her high end PC... Eh, don't get me wrong, the latest OSX isn't THAAT bad but it's far worse than Snow Leopard. Something like Vista for Macs.

  • @eleyaro Actually they are identical: everything from the NVidia/ATI gpus to RealTek Audio, etc. The one exception is a DRM chip they install on the motherboard that OSX uses to detect if it's certified Apple hardware to prevent people from installing OSX on a random Intel machine. That protection scheme is not so difficult to crack but then we're back to the issue of drivers: Apple maintains some pretty tight control over the drivers they support.

  • @stinky472 , thanks, I didn't know that. Nonetheless, it's weird to intentionally use the same hardware as the competition and charge 2x or 3x times more for it while not giving the best they could (high end graphics)... OMG... I just went to their site and new OSX is coming out in summer and it's iPad-based...

    God help us...

  • @eleyaro I like Mac products but not a big fan of their policies (iTunes, iStore, developer agreements): the whole proprietary control thing. OSX used to be based on Unix with a programmable kernel, Apple closed that too (still based on Unix but kernel not programmable). Security is a good argument in favor of OSX, and to the average consumer that extra value they are paying for is real value to them. I just wish the world was not so divided that we're torn between extremes.

  • @stinky472

Security isn't a good argument. In fact, it's the worst argument. OSX is world-renowned for being the least secure OS on the market for half a decade now.

  • @stinky472

In fact, Apple just now adopted basic ASLR and DEP anti-exploitation protocols for Lion. Those have been out since 2003, and widely used in Linux since 2005.

  • @MaestroDraven Oh wow, you're right. Geez that's so late for them to patch it. I was looking at more high-level exploitations related to things like file systems and more API-related vulnerabilities (ex: kernel-level hooks which Apple just completely closed down). I suppose then that any security arguments would come down more to interest in creating malware from developers.

  • @stinky472

Apple doesn't have the best track record with staying on the ball when it comes to security. They sat on their thumbs for four years while Pwn2Own hackers found their exploits for them, and even though Lion adopts these technologies, it's still not exactly a breakthrough. FileVault can be hacked in 40 minutes, and that news is literally less than 3 weeks old.

The problem started with Apple right at the beginning, and now they're finding it exceedingly difficult to fix things.

  • @stinky472 this policy is good for an iPad/iPhone but not a personal computer. What Apple does now is "de-brain" their users. It's OK but for someone new to that kind of stuff, not for work

  • @eleyaro

If you're looking for the best machines in the business, look no further than Origin PCs. The next time a pro-Mac person uses the "you can't afford it" argument, send them there :)

  • Interwebs not interface

  • You know if you don't stream gay porn over the interface you won't get a viruses I have had over 20 computers running windows and not a single on had a problem with a blue screen and since I'm not a fucktard just start up in safemode and delete new programs and check the file that caused it delete it repair it whatever needs to be done to it problem solved you see that's the thing about being a windows user you need an IQ over 2.5

  • You can do anything on a Mac. Install any OS you choose to so all the fuss about which is better is truly irrelevant. Yeah, Macs cost more money. But, they can do a lot more for some who makes movies, music and creates websites or apps. Let's face it. Apple wins but Windows willl NEVER lose because it's needed in the world and will always be needed.

  • @kjeezy101 lolwut. Your argument is completely invalid. I honestly have never seen a custom built mac. Honestly, I don't think anyone wants to pay en extra 1000 dollars for bullshit no one needs. PC's are 10x more simple than macs for this reason. What's in them is exactly what you need, and exactly what you asked for. Not some light up shiny iWackoff shit.

  • @iBenJay Okay, I shouldn't have said the whole "Apple wins" thing. Of course, if you're into modifying your computers then I wouldn't recommend a Mac. It comes down to a personal opinion.... Which do YOU prefer? As for myself I prefer a Mac because I have no desire to modify the hardware.. I use the Adobe Suites, ProTools, LogicPro and iMovie. Can I run most of these on a PC? Sure... but it's not as smooth. I don't care what you see I've used both systems for ProTools and PC doesn't compare.

  • @kjeezy101 Have you tried, say, Adobe products on a PC which costs as much as the equivalent OSX? It's true that OSX is a bit better with resources, but when an OSX app has an error, it often just crashes silently. I own both (required for my work) and I have to say I prefer Windows better. Also if you do really high-end video editing and compositing instead of iMovie and FCP, you typically have more choices in Windows, for better or worse (Avid DS, Fusion, etc.)

  • @kjeezy101 ... equivalent Mac, sorry. But also the fact that OSX can provide Bootcamp is because Apple tries to ensure that OSX only runs on Apple machines (in spite of just being Intel machines nowadays). It is a worthwhile argument that you get to enjoy both worlds on Mac hardware, but as iBenJay pointed out (albeit rudely), you have to use Apple hardware. You'll have a hard time finding good driver support for a high-end graphics card like NVidia Quadro, e.g.

  • @kjeezy101

Installing any OS is fine. But you're limited by the hardware issue and software issue. Apple brags about this feature because they absolutely need Windows to succeed. PC users don't need OSX, nor do they need Apple's old, inferior hardware configs. We aren't willing to be overcharged for mediocrity.

Look at it this way: if Apple were to allow OSX to be installed on any computer, the Macintosh line would choke and die within a week. Apple would have nothing to price gouge with.

  • @MaestroDraven It boils down to a personal opinion. I've had PC, all my life as a kid, growing up, my first self bought computer, my first laptop. I mean, I don't see how a person can tell me that PC is better than Mac? It's not. I always had issues with PC, I've had a Mac since 2008 and I've NEVER had an issue. The only issue I had was my hard drive in my MacBook Pro crashed, big whoop. DiskWarrior, 30 minutes, all good. So whatever, if they sell OSX on PC it wouldn't be the same.

  • @kjeezy101 But yeah, if you need a PC, then get one. If you're an IT guy, or something like that and you need Windows get a PC.. if you play games, get a PC, if you want to buy a new graphics card every year and stuff like that get a PC... I'm not saying it's better for everyones likings but if you're just trying to USE a computer then Mac is where to go. If you don't have enough money, then buy a PC... don't buy it if you can't afford that goes with everything in life.

  • @kjeezy101

Sure it would. What you're seeing is a simple example of ratios. Macs sell significantly less machines than PCs so. Naturally you'll hear of a lower list of reported failures. Apple has been struck with class-action lawsuits before for major defects in iMacs and Macbooks, 2 years in a row. Overheating issues are still a problem thanks to poor air flow. These may not affect everyone, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. You're merely seeing less because they sell less.

  • @MaestroDraven Good point... I still think there may be less malfunctions when the numbers are weighed out. But, I get what you're saying and I agree. I find it weird that when the iPod came out, Apple soared. The iPhone came out... it was considered to be a revolution and I think it created this huge market for smart phones. They have dropped the price on these products remarkably and have seen incredible success in the process. Why aren't they following this trend into their computers?

  • @kjeezy101 The only thing I can think of is it's like consoles. They sell the consoles at what seems to be a really high price but it might only profit the company 10 dollars a unit. How ever they might make 10-20 off every game that's sold... or even more. Not to mention the subscriptions, and warranties. In Apples case they cold sell iPods and iPhones at near cost to market their company to then sell more computers to profit. I don't know... I'm high.

  • @kjeezy101

I don't know. On iPods, I merely see the same technology still being overcharged. Take the iPod Shuffle, for instance. At $50, it may seem like a deal, until you start referencing competitor's MP3 players with more storage. 2GB flash storage suddenly seems VERY overpriced. Then there's the iPhone, which costs about $70-$90 to make, and can sell for as high as $700. Same with the iPad.

Apple is a master at creating "perceived luxury." Nothing more.

  • its funny when yall say that mac is for office/schools.I guess you havent ever liked a movie or a tv show then. In hollywood, they use macs for almost all post-production. Think about that most of the best movies and tvshows are edited on mac.Just to name some movies: The Ring, True Grit, 300, The Social Network. And the list goes on. Im not hatin´ Im just sayin that macs arent just fancy asses. They are used professionally for its capabilities. Read my other posts here before you start hating.

  • @kkdjen Yeah, but a lot of these are more of a win for Adobe than Apple. Also "almost all" is going way too far. You just completely neglected Eyeon Fusion which is available exclusively for Windows and Linux and was used in Lost, Sin City, Alias, Avatar, and even from your list, 300.

  • white is death, color is life microshock.tumblr.com

  • new mac just for that reason. my pc has no hardware problems and i had a software issue in windows and i gave myself a stress free computer. very funny video .

  • Hahahahahhahahahahaahaha LOL

  • Only ever seen blue screens once on a really old windows xp thing

  • If you get BSOD, it's your own phone. Try again.

  • to bad blue screens are for hardware errors like drive fails or cpu burn outs....for a overclocker like my self it saves a bad overclock from damaging the cpu....Blue are equalent to red rings on xbox...sometimes they go away sometimes its a actual hardware fail...but if you use hardware that is not under voltage or using old hard drives or using corrupted drivers...you well NEVER have blue screen...and no blue screens are good. and if you read what it says its not a big deal to get it replaced.

  • i wouldn't say it is something someone would want to happen to their computer

  • so good... ;-D

  • so biased... why dont you put a modern day Vaio z, thinkpad x1 or what ever business class laptop next to it... you people understand why the mac looks so much better next to that early 2000 crappy letterbox format piece of crap laptop which for some reason runs oldschool vista? face palm

  • Exactly why iUse a mac

  • Still wondering when Windows seven has failed me with low fps, or the BSOD. Never. In my school the meetings I go to uses the latest Macs, There was one PC in the room, I heard the PC load up and I saw my Mac loading.. I shouted "FUCK THIS SHIT, MISS, BUY SOME GODDAMN PC`S AND SAVE YOURSELF OVER 9000 QUID (There was 5 rows of them, 10 on a row btw)!

  • there is such thing as a kernel panic, fucktards, Windows will always be better.

  • I use Windows and Mac OS. I see no problem with using both.

I've never had a Kernal Panic on Mac OS and I've only had two BSOD's on Windows, which I have used a lot longer. I have had many BSOD's with Windows 7 Beta, but that was just a beta on a cheap laptop, so I don't count those.

I use Windows at school, Mac OS at home. I run Windows on my Mac sometimes. I like them both...

I have an iMac, a MacBook, a PowerBook, an Asus, and two HP's. Objections?

  • OMG! I'm not able to stop laughing :D :D

  • I have only had 3 BSOD's since Windows XP got installed when it got released. Had vista and 7 since then. The only time I had said BSOD's were after my graphics card was burnt out in XP, 2 times, and in Vista, once.

And I game pretty hard on my machine. Not to say Windows is perfect, but it certainly fits my needs as a gamer. Does an iComputer do that for me? No.

Alas Windows scores the points for awesome.

  • @Twistingnether I have not had a BSOD since the installation of W7.

  • @Twistingnether whats a bsod ?????????

  • @crazymn321fan a blue screen of death...

  • windows is terrible. only bad thing about macs is the cost

  • Hey Apple. Can you play any games besides chess?

  • @Cr8ionary yes BF2 , COD4:MW....

  • That's because it's vista lol.

  • yeah so is u crappy plastic windows computer made out of one Piece of Machined Aluminum with backlit LED keyboard and Stable Software and faster boot up times and no viruses

    I don't Think so

  • lol apple fanboys---

If you treat your computer good it wont crash.

And it sucks to play games on apple but its good to watch movies on but still windows is better

  • @eirik874 its not about treating it good if use processer hungry apps/programs, or have many things open at once dumbass

  • Apple has locked down hardware. Give it same amount of customization as a PC and it would crash louder than Windows ME.

  • Apple is so limitative in hardware AND software . If you are scared of computers , buy an apple ;)

  • @ud3r007 the hardware is better than average computers and the software is 100% customizable and better yet, EDITABLE unlike windows u can only customize things that are already there and cant add much to it

  • @1515785 ......Windows is just an operating system . I 'm using programs for do whatever I want , I don't need to edit windows.

    PC are also 100 % customizable , I can run my CPU @ 5 ghz rockstable .

  • hey apple can you do anything other then run video editing software or chess?

    didn't think so...

  • @Obsidion626 too bad they can retard, research ur stuff

  • @1515785 thats why the best and most bad ass games say "PC" on the compatibility and very few of the alright games say "PC/Mac"

im sorry but im going to continue not getting ripped off by over priced crap when i can get a PC and have better parts in it without paying 2k+ to equal it.

    do "your" research Mac fag.

  • @SenorCajones Actually I got all my education for free. That's kind of standard in some Central European countries. And yes the comment seems like I posted it at 3 A.M.. Some correction proposals would be appreciated from someone with so much wisdom and insight although I can't find the edit button at the moment.

  • LOL!

  • Crazy...I go to my friend's house and use his Mac and it crashes. Then I say to him, "Hey, it crashed", and he says "No, it's frozen, it has never crashed." So he's convinced that his computer has never had a problem. Even when he had to get the hard drive replaced twice last year, he still thought he hadn't had any REAL issues. I've never replaced a hard drive or any part on a PC (other than upgrades) and he thinks I have "glitches" like he does. So are you just as deluded as my friend?

  • hahahahhahahahhahaha apple rules !!

  • apple are fucking shit lets face it over priced junk accessory bullshit

  • @cheesebandan you probably don't have one....

  • @cheekonme

    it IS overpriced junk

  • @cheekonme i know i hope to keep it that way

  • @cheesebandan yh.. right...

  • @cheesebandan No.

  • @kokomanen so happy im not you at the moment

  • roflmfao thankyou this made my day

  • Hey apple, can you do this (Opens crysis) NOPE.

  • @iBenJay Some macs can actually run crysis but...w/e.

  • @xXD4rKwO7fXxGaming some macs can actually run a 4 years old game? Wow

  • @xXD4rKwO7fXxGaming at high settings and 60fps for a long enough time to actually have fun? and a 4 year old game that doesn't need much power but macs struggle to do so? I don't see your argument.

  • @iBenJay (Opens up VM FUSION and Loads Crysis) ...

  • @iBenJay Actually yeah you can. STFU TOP RATED COMMENT.

  • @Jackalakadingdong Actually you can run it half as slow for triple the price. No brainer on the choice, but sadly apple users don't have desicion making power. they have people to do it for them. and they brag about it. Please, stfu macfag.

  • @iBenJay Wow... I was gonna just leave you alone but as soon as i read that last word you just pulled me back in. Name one computer that has a secure master boot record and will not break except in the case of a hardware malfunction. Come on, I dare you to.

  • @iBenJay Hey apple, can you do this (Opens crysis) - Yeah of course. Bootcamp motherfuckerssssss!! And by the way, hows that virus working out for ya'?

  • @kkdjen Macs get viruses too, but you don't realize it because you are too fucking snobby to get anti virus to know if you have one

  • @iBenJay im sure they do. But that is really rare. And youre calling me snobby? I invested in a mac because i was sick and tired of my pc fucking up everytime i used it. I bought a mac, installed windows, now i have mac for video editing and windows for gaming. It works great! Super fast startup and absolutely no lag or crashes. I didnt buy a mac because its "fancy" and "snobby" but simply because its a better machine. Have a nice day, hater.

  • @kkdjen @iBenJay @Twistingnether What is the point of arguing about apple vs Windows? If you have common sense, you would learn that they both have their advantages and disadvantages but are both awesome in their own way, besides, you could just buy a Hackintosh dual boot with Windows and have the best of both worlds ffs

  • @joc69uk32 nonono PC is good for hardware. the OS is decent, but the mac has little perks/addons but, compatibility issues.

  • @iBenJay i'm going to say this now, i reckon that mac= office/school PC= police/gaming/shops Linux= Servers/Programming

  • @joc69uk32 mac: being overpriced, office, school windows: gaming, marketing. linux: police, servers, programming, customization.

  • @Xaahu linux doesn't have as much resources as windows does though, as a linux fan i will admit it

  • @joc69uk32 thats just what im sayin, bro.

  • @kkdjen Can you explain this bootcamp? Is it some extra graphics card/core/ram? Or what the fuck is gin on.... And you guys get viruses too. I don't need your snobby downtalk. it affects you too.

  • @iBenJay

Bootcamp is an application made by Apple to let Mac users run windows. We partition the hard rive and when the mac boots up we hold a few keys down and boom into windows.

And nope. Mac's don't get viruses and if they do it probably 0.2% of the mac users. I've never had viruses and download tons of porn. =]

  • @blazednsleepy the whole running games thing is your hardware doesn't even hav ethe power to run them. I've seen a few videos of gameplays with a mac, and they are horrible! just so slow and choppy. custom built PC's have so much more power.

  • Fuckin' troll loool but now try the same with 7 and in a few month W8 gonna strike Apple shit!

  • @MacFlyThroughDWindow Except, you know, the fact that Windows 8 sucks.

  • funny

  • Why using Vista and Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) in 2010 ???

  • Its funny because I've seen a bluescreen on every windows OS EXCEPT Vista. I'm lucky apparently.

  • LOL o my god hahahah I cant stop laughing, vista is the worst invention in PCs!!!... i had vista.... was the hell, then I changed for windows 7... but.... My actual Mac is my best friend now!

  • haha thats so typical of vista!

  • @TheFishboy50 Vista doesnt do Blue Screen of Death, however 7 does, my dad laptop with 7 on it does it, my desktop pc with Vista doesnt

    better luck next time

  • Eww. Vista.

  • funny, just wish i had a mac

  • Thats a great example, compare a macbook pro with a crappy pc running on vista... try doing the same test with a windows computer of the same price, and i use it correctly and i dare you to get a blue screen...

  • I have Windows 7, Mac os X and Ubuntu 11.10 running on my mac

  • @ericblr thats such an irrelevent fact other than Mac can run Windows virtually and Windows cant, cause it simply has no purpose of doing it...

  • bwahaha...the dreaded Windows blue screen of DEATH!

  • fuck'em both.. i got linux!! lmfao and apple but i like my linux box better

  • jajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajaja

  • yep. it can. kernel panic b!tches.

  • Everyone promised I would stop laughing about this vid after experiencing Windows 7, the holy grail of all Windows out there. Guess what? I am still laughing.

  • Personally..id rather have a beasty PC rather than a mac.

  • 221 People hasn`t got a mac :D  4 ever!!!

  • LOLOLOLLOLOLOL THAT WAS SO FUNNY AND WHILE LOOKING AT THE TITLE I THOUTH YOU GANNA TRASH THE APPLE XDDDDXDDD

  • Windows 7 is beautiful to look at and os x just looks so damn bleak.

  • @dalexandruz

are you kidding? it's tidy, not bleak. it has a beautiful, simple GUI.
