Is the 'design' argument called something else? Was Paley's argument outdated even when it was written ? Was it criticised by Catholic thinkers such as Newman at the time for having a poor analogy? Is science based on studying data (empirical evidence) and inference? Is poor design evidence of a bad designer or no designer?
