All of their commercials reflect the grotesque attitude and terrible service provided by Direct TV. This has got to be a mean spirited company. They operate like the BIG Business Bully and is so deceiving about it. This attitude is reflected in their commercials. I see that their creative team understands the mindset of the BOSS and keeps coming up with deceitful commercials with liars in it. So apprpriate for Direct TV.

If anything, I've heard Wisconsin accents FAR thicker than this, lol. Wisconsinites like to blame it all on those "more up north" or from "Minnesota" (which is ironic because Minnesotans blame-shift their accent to those in Wisconsin, lol). Being from Kenosha and had moved to Ohio 10 years ago, when I return to the Kenosha or Milwaukee area everybody has an accent now. And it's ultra-blatant to my wife who's an Ohio native.

i live 30 min away from mad city and never heard anyone talk like this, maybe a select few but its not common at all. sounds like a Minnesotan. Maybe its like this but very watered down. I catch me and a lot of people saying "ya know" a lot but other than that its not even close to as thick of an accent as shown.

I agree, it is more Minnesota than it is Wisconsin accent. There are people in Wisconsin that really do talk that way and the woman actor is very convincing. I love it when she hussles down the steps to hide.... It almost looks like she was going to fall. Great commercial if you ask me. I am a Southeast Wisconsin native and our accents are watered down a lot from the one portrayed in this commercial.
