That's exactly what it is - the Beatles. At first I tried to see if there is a cover, and ... surprise: it's your song! It's not a compliment, is a truth, you have that "something" that makes your music to change hearts. for the good of all, continue to write. here in Romania, a group of "sensitive ears" - more numerous - are watching with interest and satisfaction.
this song is amazing. I was looking for a nice acoustic guitar since I'm left handed and found your song since I searched for the Ibanez. I picked it up today and it sounds great. Keep up the great work. You are very talented.
Steph, I'm so glad you posted this video. I've followed your channel each time something new came up and I just love your talent, your ability to create new music that isn't exactly like everyone else with the same four chords :D I thought this was a fantastic product of thought and expression. Well done!
Ya know I think your so talented,, I thought I subbed you long ago Can't belive I messed up like that.. I dig all your vids and I'm glad you got a new one up ...
I've waited eagerly for new material since you were featured on Music Tuesday earlier this year.
The wait has not been in vain. Another amazing, deep song. All tied together by the your beautiful voice. I simply cannot believe what I'm hearing. I was humming this tune on the highway last week.
What's more unbelievable is the view count. Under 1000 views?
I'm curious what your mental flow is when you're making a song. Does the creative fountain spit out the words and lyrics first, the piano, the guitar or a combination of all the instruments? It sounds like the piano came after the lyrics and the bass after the guitar so it almost feels like it started on the guitar or your words. It's weird but it all works so well. It's like you're singing with each instrument and they make a perfect chorus of music. It's different than anything else out there
99% of the time I first find a melody while playing the guitar, then all else follows. Melody comes easy, lyrics I consider to be very difficult. This one is no exception; the lyrics actually took me forever to start, yet once they were started I finished them quickly. I can't imagine ever forming words first, though I'm sure that's how some writers work!
@stephstrand I wouldn't know about going guitar first but for me it's usually the lyrics that sprout the bass line (I'm a bassist after all) and then guitar added to that from a buddy of mine or n m own head. I do have a tendency to hear a nice bassline in my head of while I'm just grooving and be able to put words to it. I was just curious what your methods were. Haha honestly i always found lyrics easier than anything else but I'm a writer before a bassist so maybe that's it. Great work though
Thanks to smartbluecat for the share :) Its been a while since I've been round your channel but its always an experience that inspires. Your talent and spirit shine through with your music and I loved this one. Some nice intricate guitar work there too and love the piano parts that compliment the tone of the song so well :) I'm gonna squeeze in one more compliment before I go....video....really.....liked :) (waves ) look forward to your next one :)
This is beautiful! Thanks to Paul loopyone73 for sharing. I love it! You remind me of the Beatles and Led Zep. True talent at its best! Blessings to You and Your Music :)
@BigLoveZone Hey Bobbie BigSweetLoveRedheadedCuteZone :) YES...I knew she reminded me of someone that I couldnt think of. Girl...you rock! I miss ya alot Bobbie xo
Stephanie I could write a huge list of reasons why this is so brilliant but I don't think I need to. There's a part of me that only a perfect song can reach and for that reason this went straight into my inspiration playlist. Gary put it perfectly in his comment below and I can only echo the sentiment and thank you too. =)
Dear Stephanie. This is wonderful, painfully beautiful. I'm so glad I read the info bar before listening. Writing music is akin to therapy for me. I'm not sure if you know what I mean. This has a solid grace to it, an immovable slice of sweet and pure communication... it's everything a great song should be. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
Gary, thank you so very much. I do know what you mean. For me, writing music is not only akin to therapy, it can allow for a certain kind of articulation that is otherwise very difficult. Your opinion means a lot to me, so again, thank you!
@stephstrand Indeed. An idea is never fully formed until it's been articulated... Someone smart said that. I always marvel at how on one level of communication music can be both quite vague and yet ultra specific. I sent on a pm by the way, Didn't want to clog up your comments page.
A beautifully written and performed piece for your cousin Jasen. The lyrics are very deep and meaningful. Nice guitar work and vocal. I added your video to the "R.I.P." and "Acoustic Vocal Nov2010" playlists on The Songwriters Collection Channel. All my sympathy to you and your family...........Kathy
you are truly more amazing everytime i hear and see you. how lucky i am to have stumbled upon you so many months ago. and to watch you go from incredible to awesome - well, it's just awesome! <3 -frank-
Creative blocks are really terrible. Not surprisingly, there's evidence to suggest that humans are more creative when upset, unhappy or depressed. That's certainly the case in my experience. So, sometimes I don't mind a creative block if it means that I'm in a good mood!
Stephanie that is a beautiful song! I know Jasen would have been so proud! What a great tribute thank you! If u can upload that to his memorial page on facebook.
Nice pensive song with a really interesting bridge. I am sorry to hear about the loss of your cousin, but thankful that you found his attitude inspiring. We are all better people when we focus on the positive, and it often takes someone else to remind us how thankful we need to be.
This was the first time I saw you with a steel string acoustic. It seems to fit like it was always there. Still, I hope it isn't the last time we've seen the nylon string that is in love with your voice.
The nylon string guitar is still around. Its only problem is that it won't stay in tune long enough to record a track. New tuning pegs probably cost more than the guitar is worth. Still, it has nostalgic value.
@stephstrand If I lived down the street from you, it would already be fixed! Tuners for a classical guitar are surprisingly inexpensive. Check with a local shop, you might be surprised what fifteen bucks can get you.
If you are too lazy to shop for them, send me an address (hargoni@Live.com) and I will mail you a set.
good golly miss trolley, amazingly beautiful song you've made!thankful for that too.truly inspiring stuff.so perfect, every lil part .really enjoying this .keep that luxurious playing n singing up !

different listeners
