What's that strange thing he's got in his right hand, he seems to be... picking at the strings with it, what could it be.... A PICK! Jazz base players pluck their double bases with their fingers, Symphonic double bases use hands and bows. There's no rules here. Stop it.

and it is easy to learn it, come on, it has 4 strings!

@HughMacLennan With guitar experience, the ukulele is a sinch to learn. Even without it, I'm sure it would be quite easy. At least much more than other instruments. The ukulele's small size makes for easy chord shapes, yet still a wide versatility.

Thanks. That is a beautiful song and you play it nicely. Being a beginner at trying to learn how to pick the ukulele, could you tell me if there is a specific pattern to pick the strings. If I play an a chord, which strings do I pluck? If I play a D chord, which strings do I pluck? Hope you can explain this since I am having a hard time trying to figure out which strings to pluck with the different chords.

The ukulele you see me playing in this video cost about $125. It is an Oscar Schmidt OU13. It is a soprano, which is generally the smallest ukulele.

The new OU13 doesn't have the high quality tuners that the older models, like mine does, so I don't know if they are still as good.

Is it hard to learn? Well, the uke is tuned, generally, like a guitar, and I've played the guitar since I was 14, so it was easy for me.

check out sony vegas for home use. it's cheap and easy to use. all you have to do is ungroup the audio from the video and you can then slice it up really easily and move it around.

Should take about 10 minutes or less to get a feel for it.

The audio is exTREMEly quiet for this.

Incidentally, you have a really nice soprano. I find the bends quite a bit harder to manage at the third fret on a tenor, so I like to play it in a higher key. Aldrine has a great version too on UU.
