The crew had all been first timers on this aircraft and didn't know where things went etc. Got a bucket of ice over me, a credit card machine through at me and worst of all the kept hitting my elbow with their cart everytime they past me. What sort of training do these people get. This would not happen in my day

But they remain in their individual liveries for now, but by 2011 all the FCA livery should be gone and all of the Airbus aircraft will be with a canadian company. yes airlines have to apply with rules you know...each airline abodies by different rules depending on its contract in passenger services e.g. different rules apply for different lengths of flights. those other airlines opening doors are either offloading or loading because if they open the doors just because there is a delay..that ads a further delay as the cabin has to be re presurised and double checked...so what you are saying about the doors is a load off bull

Well seems like I know a different MyTravel to you! Yes they were quite poor in 2002/3 but over the last few years they went from strength to strength.
If the 20 planes were too much to handle then it doesnt look too good for Thomas Cook! It just happens that MyTravel operations staff were kept on and they MyTravel operations in the MyTravel/Thomas Cook hangar are in charge of all what i dunno 60 planes now!

i know the other callsign for mytravel theres one base in the uk that goes by kestral and a base in germany that goes by the callsign of viking and to tell the difference kestral has a slightly lighter red and blue livary than viking
they didnt exactley go out of service they had finished their financial reconstructin by 2005 there worst years were from 1999-2002 wen they had a larger fleet then they do have now. thomas cook just had a good bid they couldnt rfuse muyt still own 49% of thomas cook plc and before the thomas cook bid myt had actually put in a bid for a merger with fca but was denied because of the plans they had with tom

mytravel (airtours at the time) bought an airline called premiair in the 90s and merged it into their fleet. they kept the premiair brand for a while with similar colours to airtours.

Great video - brought a tear to my eye. Such a shame to see a brilliant company swallowed up after all the hard work that has gone into seeing MYT rise again... I cannot stay around to see it all eventually mean nothing....will miss MYT and all the great people I have met over the last 19 years - some great people being lost. I hope they are missed by the new company

Mytravel Was a great airline, But when they started to release their Boeings it got worse and when money was becoming a problem i think they stayed on as long as they could and its a good desicion to join with an airline as it could of ended in closure, goodbye Kestrel

I was a Pilot for Airtours / My Travel for 8 years. I mainly flew the EGCC - LGKR Manchester to Corfu route, on an Airbus A321-211
the reason why My Travel went out if service is because running all 20 Aircraft was just too much for the compony to handle..

mytravel (airtours at the time) bought an airline called premiair in the 90s and merged it into their fleet. they kept the premiair brand for a while with similar colours to airtours.

Thomas Cook destroy all great airlines - I once flew for Caledonian and with TCX we merged with Flying Colours to become JMC now Thomas Cook - murdering bastards!!!

Thomas Cook dont have the money to destroy GREAT airlines. They for example could never merge with BA or Virgin or something like that.

this a fab video, and yet very sad. I loved working for mytravel but not so happy about working for thomas cook now. My travel have been through some tough times and we came through it, its a shame to see it just fade away.

This is Andrea Bocelli before he was taught improper vocal technique and wrecked his voice. He should have been taught by someone other than the voice butchers he had. I really do not believe Luciano Pavarotti was involved in this, as he knew better.

Ok i think MYT will be missed but TCX is just as good a company do you all think?! Or am i missing something, Im glad they are merging with TCX, They looked after JMC so im sure they will do a great job at looking after MYT!

Great video - brought a tear to my eye. Such a shame to see a brilliant company swallowed up after all the hard work that has gone into seeing MYT rise again... I cannot stay around to see it all eventually mean nothing....will miss MYT and all the great people I have met over the last 19 years - some great people being lost. I hope they are missed by the new company

I'm sure anyone who had a hand in making MyTravel what it is, from the ashes that was Airtours, will be sad to see it become Thomas Cook, I for one like to think I played my part. Good luck and best wishes to those who may not be joining the new company, either through choice or redundancy.

Mytravel Was a great airline, But when they started to release their Boeings it got worse and when money was becoming a problem i think they stayed on as long as they could and its a good desicion to join with an airline as it could of ended in closure, goodbye Kestrel

wouldn't call it the best airline to ever grace our skies, there are many many better ones. Obviously the user has flown with them in the past and thats why that message was put.

The MyTravel is not due to join the TC fleet but will be replaced by the former AT fleet which is now managed by Monarch.
