The U.S was of little threat to Germany at this time compared to the Russians... up to 80-90% Of the German Army was stationed on the Eastern Front, thats probably why there are higher losses there.

@FlierFrank172 No, they were tough even against the United States. I've even spoken to American veterans that said themselves they were terrified of German troops. They did not simply 'fold and go down' by the thousands. 3.5 million is minor compared to the losses on the Allied side-- and that it took the most of the world to put down the Wehrmacht. It became a war of attrition, supplies and factory bombings is what resulted in Germany's defeat.

@bgrobin66 Yes, you're right and I certainly agree, it's just that when I had relatives that served in the Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe, I feel that it's my duty to stick up for them. I'm not a sympathizer of what happened to the Jewish nor racist ideals either and there were good men on all sides of the war, I just don't like it when one side tries to demonize another, when it's entirely true.

Many American Vets ive spoken to have say that aswell (: If Hitler concentrated on Britain and did what he did to Poland and France, he would of got Poland, then tag teamed America with Japan like what the Russians did with them. America would of fallen, then it would be Jap/Ger vs Russia (: shame Hitler was a twat for going into Russia.

@bgrobin66 Until they had to turn back to resupply... Also the British had tons of Anti-air guns on both naval and on land forces... At this time intact the Luftwaffe was vastly superior to the RAF, but it was because the intention of an air-lead attack that the Germans lost...
