Lmao damn I miss iverson and his amazing ball handling skills . Best who ever did it . Fuck a ring . It's all about fans and iverson has more fans then the whole laker team put together ..
not really he was just pissed that lue wasnt letting him get any points, i saw this game allen iverson was scoring at will but then they took out fisher and put lue on him and i think he got maybe 8 points from there on.
He stepped over him in frustration cause lue was actually playin great D on him all game and iverson went to "the answer" mode and put a shot up with a hand in his face stepped over him and let him know he is still the answer besides these two werent the best of friends to start with
@ROMEYYOUROCK He got crossed and was on his heels. If he actually stayed in his face like he originally was, not only would've been on Iverson (which if he made it then it's good D and AI made the shot) he wouldn't have fallen down lol.
@ROMEYYOUROCK I never said it was the best cross ever. It would be almost nothing if not for the signifigance of the game. But again, Lue probably wouldn't have stepped on his shoe if he stayed with him.
@juniorpong1 dude i watched this game and when Iverson did that i was like there ya go lue maybe now you'll respect ma nigga iverson cause that bitch would not leave AI alone all game so he deserved what he got bitches get put in they place...
I say if iverson wanna come back to the nba the sixers need to sell everyone and just buy seven niggas Iverson, Lebron, Durant, Rose, Howard, C. Paul, and A. Stoudemire....just to win the ship i would say kobe but damn i hate that fuck
For the record .. A NBA official is in prison for throwing the lakers and sixers series. He admitted to cheating , so that's how Lou gotta ring . Lame as shit. Allen iverson is still a rebel icon legend etc ha
@WyomingAve Yeah it was thrown but the truth is, the Sixers were still overmatched talent-wise by L.A. Not just by Shaq and Kobe. The Lakers ran deeper in their bench, and once they slowed down A.I. It was much smoother for them. AI fucked Lue's shit up in that series, especially in 1. But Lue pestered Iverson and slowed him down significantly. As a sixers fan I hated to admit that great job he did on D. I think the Sixers would have still fallen in 6 or 7 without bad refs
June 6, 2001... this HAPPENED... 10 years ago (that's crazy) Despite the "Practice" and some of his off court issues... Iverson was a BEAST. For a 5'11 guard, this guy was so dominant... Thanks you A.I. for breaking MANY ANKLES!!!!
too bad that was the ONLY sixers highlight of that series. mutombo getting beat up, rick fox practicing his three point shot and kobe still thinking he did it all by himself.
he killed him! and no it wasnt "disrepectful" ahha ur not tryin 2 make friends on the court and u can see the lakers bench talkin junk to him anyway...
damn that was such a good year of basketball, The Lakers RIPPED through the Western conference, they swepted their way to the finals. meanwhile philly was on iversons bac the whole way through with i beleive he had three 50 pt games, four 40 point games and i lost track but a lot of 35+ games, i hate to use the word if but if only iverson had more help that year they woulda shocked the lakers just like in game 1, their only loss in the playoffs that year.
@ phillabul : Lue deserves his ring as much as the secretaries in the laker front office!! He got the ring but A.I. Will b laughing wile in the hall of fame.
LOL @ the people arguing that Lue got the last laugh. Plenty of scrubs have been on NBA championship teams. It's a matter of circumstance. How many players turn out to be legends in the game with consideration for Top 50 greatest player?
Iverson is in elite company with other greats who have not won championships: Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Nique & many others.
This game is what I think of when I think of a dominant performance from one player. The Lakers lost one game in the entire 2000 postseason and this was it. And it was ALL AI. It's an absolute shame there's no team willing to take this guy in the league.
Also, the Answer IV is one of the best basketball shoes of all time.
travel - AI switched pivot foot. he starts out jabbing with his right foot, and then finally makes his move with his left foot. in that circumstance, the ball has to be out of his hands before he can lift his pivot (left) foot, which is clearly not the case.
A.I. The Answer was very trendy during this time. The next season everyone was an Iverson fan but the Sixers went down hill after that. I live in Cali and was amazed by Iverson but once Cali's Lakers won the series I jumped on the bandwagon.
too bad he fell off... makes me wanna cry man back in 2001 when i was 8 he was my idol... i use to wear his jersey during every game n shit :( we miss the old Answer
AI is the better overall player but... but after this game, Lue was on his ass for the rest of the series. LA won the next 4 straight. So at the end of the day, Lue wears a ring, and AI doesn't.
I love how the white guy on the Lakes bench tried to distract Iverson by screaming 2 feet behind him when he went up for the shot but A.I drained it anyway.
wat ever everyone all over allen iverson because of 1 cross over tyronn lue still been on more teams and been injured even more so he is technically better than AI
@TheYoungswagg24 Being on more teams and being injured more makes him worse than AI, not better. He hasn't stepped on the court to actually play significant minutes in years. So technically, he's a lot worse than AI.

@TheYoungswagg24 God your a retard, Did Lue NBA MVP NBA Rookie of the Year 11X NBA ALL START 4X NBA scoring champ 3X ALL NBA FIRST Team 3X ALL NBA SECOND Team ALL NBA THIRD TEAM NBA ALL ROOKIE FIRST TEAM 2X NBA ALL STAR GAME MVP Yea LUE is better then THE ANSWER
Allen ''Motherfuckin'' Iverson lol best guard under 6'5 to ever play the game just check the numbers for all u dummies who dont know stats cuz numbers dont lie and neither did his game
I remember this shit.... I couldn't believe they beat the Lakers, Game 1 of the 2001 NBA Finals.. then the Lakers went on to win 4 straight and won the championship. LOL
Doesn't matter if Iversonn took out Lue on this play. Tyronn Lue played better defense on Iverson than anyone else in the league at the time. Even though Iverson scored 20-40 points a game, it was because of Lue's defense that kept the ball away from Iveron and forced Iverson to miss some tough shots which led to a Lakers repeat.
Wow talk about disrespect, he didn't walk around him, he stepped OVER him, hahahaha, damn that was fucked up. Then he looked at H. Grant after he owned Lue
you do know that tyronn mocked iverson at practice right? tyronn was even wearing arm sleeves to make fun of him. now thats disrespect. iverson stepped over him for revenge.
The funny thing is, Tyronn Lue played kickass defence on Iverson, and at one partucular Finals game (Game 2 i think), Lue's defense made Ai choke, giving Lue the nickname, "The Iverson Stopper", then Iverson scored over 40 points the next game LOL But yeah, Lue played HARD defence an Iverson.
He moves his right feet several times-so he cannot move the left one-and when he starts to dribble, before the ball touches the ground...he moves his LEFT leg!!!!!!!!
Lue did great on the finals but AI is the answer baby....
Got it again!!! He's way too good!!!!

Im a giagantic fan of ai but i m also a ref.....
And dudes he is traveling...!!!!!
Watch carefully......
He moves his right feet several times-so he cannot move the left one-and when he starts to dribble, before the ball touches the ground...he moves his LEFT leg!!!!!!!!
Lue did great on the finals but AI is the answer baby....
Sorry Lue......
