Right click on the WinSAT folder -> Properties -> Security -> Edit and Click on Users. Then check the Allow for Full Control. Apply and Ok out of the windows. Try to save again.

Why would your friends be running a benchmark test on your computer? A list of computer specifications suffice for me but if someone needs to use the Windows Benchmark to determine the true power of their system then this video is ideal for them :P

dammm thats funny i had a 7.7  7.9 7.4 7.4 and what killed me was the freakin 5.9 of my raid 0 western digital caviar black. But now i tweaked it a bit . thanks now i dont have to buy a expensive ssd to change my score ...... thanks lol

Lol, I hate how they do that. I don't understand the logic behind it. I would think it would average it all together rather the use the lowest score to determine the overall score but I guess it ensures their is no possibility of having issues with applications that run fine with the average score VS the lowest score.

It´s giving me an "Access Denied" message... I want back my 5.1 brand new laptop score, after all the reinstallations and Windows 7 my CPU score is 3.0, that sucks... any idea why the change in the score if the hardware is the very same?

The amount of resources being used, your graphic settings, your drivers, etc..all come into play. IE: If your trying to benchmark your CPU while playing music, browsing the internet and so forth you won't have as much CPU free to perform the test optimally.

If your getting an Access Denied chances are your not on an administrative account. You could try disabling the UAC and then altering it.

Well your system is going to perform as it always does. This changes the benchmark scores to make it appear as though your system were better.
