It shows that the majority of scientists do not believe in god whereas the amount the believed had doubts and reservations to their belief. It would be great to have Prof. Bruce Lipton (a biologist) in on this discussion because he could refer to a lot of scientific studies that actually support the case for homeopathy and not just anecdotal evidence. It's all about money. Allopathic medicine is about "treatment" and sustained symptom relief, herbal/natural medicine is about an all-body cure through acquiring a better state of health through nourishment, eliminating vitamin deficiency, imbalances, etc.

I'll bet you have none, your "knowledge" is purely anecdotal. In the UK we have a national health service, so there is no profit in using expensive surgery when there would be a cure in an inexpensive pill.
Cancer is an abnormal/out of control cell divisions due to a gene mutation from a carcinogen or even family genes. Normal cells possess contact inhibition that stops them from dividing once they reach a certain state. Cancer cells will form tumors or eventually overtake and kill the person if it spreads (metastasis). Chemotherapy can help by killing the fastest dividing cells, but will cause many terrible adverse effects.

@ListenConfirmAct I looked up the study concerning Dr. Elaine Howard Ecklund and concluded that the study itself is irrelevant to proving god's existence. It shows that the majority of scientists do not believe in god whereas the amount the believed had doubts and reservations to their belief. Regardless, this study in general is irrelevant to actually proving god's existence. (I hope this is the study you are referring to as it is the only study I could find using the name you provided).

The scientific method is what started science, the inspiration to learn about the world is what makes science work. God only fills in blanks that doesn't explain anything. evolution disproves creationism. Yahweh tries to steal the accomplishments from human effort, when it shows that he doesn't interfere with humans.

There is a huge confusion going on on this issue. "Alternative" Medicine is a term that really applies to name the so called "official" School of Medicine, based on synthetic drugs therapeutics. Traditional Medicine has been established for about 5000 years, and includes both Ayurvedic and Chinese Medicine, as well as Homeopathy and Nathuropathy which are simply a Neo-Hippocratic approach, assuming the Hippocratic view is in line with what is called today, quite wrongly, "alternative".

He was comparing the use of anecdotal evidence in a study to circumstantial evidence in a court case. He didn't say they were the same thing, just that they are equals in their separate fields of use. Anecdotes are used in case studies and circumstatial evidence is used in court cases.

Cancer is an abnormal/out of control cell divisions due to a gene mutation from a carcinogen or even family genes. Normal cells possess contact inhibition that stops them from dividing once they reach a certain state. Cancer cells will form tumors or eventually overtake and kill the person if it spreads (metastasis). Chemotherapy can help by killing the fastest dividing cells, but will cause many terrible adverse effects.
Cancer is not vitamin deficiency.

They only treat symptoms using toxic chemicals. I disagree, I think most people know about ancient religions of the greeks, egyptions and what not, i may be confusing my dates but if you look into prehistory or early history you can find gods and religions that predate the Big three, some more than others, but i think generally people know that they existed. I think the big problem today is that people only think of the big three when in the west we alwasy forget about henduism janism and other eastern religions

The gods of Hindus have one to one correspondence with Zeus, Mars, Hercules etc...But equally pervasive is a tone of Monotheism. Contrary to the west, which spun off altogether unique regions on Mono, in the east, the newly developing concept was ingrained into existing setup...

The potential people who could have been here in my place but who will never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains in the Sahara. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats, greater scientists than Newton. We know this beacause the set of possible people allowed by our DNA, massively outnumbers the set of actual people.

If you want to search a little deeper from a science perspective as to the origins of life then I challenge you to read a book by the name of Morphic Resonance or hypothesis of! It is as far reaching in its implications as Darwin's theroy of evolution. The book is by another prominant biologist called Rupert Sheldrake. I would consider that more probable than God

people also used to think that negative numbers were an impossibility. we used to think that all objects were infinitly divisible. we also used to think that the stars in the sky were stationary because we don't see them move when we look at the sky.
The amount of things that we used to think that seemed "logical" and necessary are almost too many to count. We believe them, until someone comes along and proves them wrong.
