@14breyergirl It is my cousin riding not me, it was a long time ago but i dont think she caught his mouth, he made a good shape over the jump and had ha noce expression on his face which they dont have if you catch thir mouth. W were more bothered by her leg position in the early days but that has improved LOADS since this was filmed.
@RJBBOP1986 well i dont belive she was hurting him by catching him in the mouth it was only a little bit but hey it was along time ago who am i to judge right? XD
good job riding that small line. you are lucky to be blessed with a honest pony and a rider with natural athleticism. my suggestion would be to work on that lower leg, if your rider did not have the body strength she has she would be out of the saddle, a good solid base is the building block for any solid jumper. a strong flat will take this rider far, she has a great natural "stick", keep up the great work.
Yeh she is very natural on a horse but she is still learning to ride with alittle more precision and style. They are a much better unit now, this was about a year ago. Thanks for the comment, most people just like to criticise rather than advise, its nice to hear from someone like yourself.
Thanks for the comment, they are doing well together. In our younger days me and Harley jumped 1meter30cm it was scary!!! Georgia has only been riding him about a year now and they have realy come on.
your welocme ... it takes time to build trust to do the bigger jumps ... i have jumped 1.30m a couple of times with Romero but that scares me too much
I know, Harley is confident and jumps well 75cm up to 1meter any bigger and he needs lots of confidence from his rider, he will do the odd fence up to 1meter30cm but i am not sure he would complete a full course. Better to enjoy jumping than for it to be scary i think.
Same as romero .. up to 1m is ok but not higher but its us who hold him back ... like Harley he needs a confident strong rider or he wont do it .. A young girl asked 2 ride him once in competition 20cm & elimated at 1st jump !!
i know this was a while ago but please learn to release befor jumping that high you kept catching him in the mouth
