  • Cool Videos, pretty helpfull for us new to the dirt bike scene, i Ride a 2005 WR250F and everytime i abuse a little on my Clutch i have to start messing around with the regulation while on the trail! is this normal?

  • Just finished my first oil filter change. Great walkthrough from start to finish. Thanks for the helpful video.

  • Hello, great video, very instructive. Can you help me, I change the rear tire for the first time on my WR250 2009, and can get the chain and tire align properly. Do you have any sugestions or tips, Thank you Cris

  • I got a question, I have a wr450f and I am changing the oil and the filter, the book says I need to put in 0.95L for a regular oil change. 1.0L if I change the filter, but then it say "Total amount 1.2L" Where did the 1.2 come from? Do I put 1.0 or 1.2L?

  • @RobbieWright Start with the lower amount, run the bike and then let it sit for a few minutes. Check the oil and see if you need to add more. That is what I would do. If you are worried about it I would call your dealer.

  • @dirtbikevids i also have a 450 and the dealer says there was a filter or something behind the resiovor drain but it says when i check the oil let it run for 2minutes then set for 2 then check but mine keeps squirting out after 10!!! but i know i put the right amount in my dad says it ain't draaining quick enough to the motor i am completely dumbgounded i just got the bike yester day my dad says he wasn't sure im 16 by the way but i had to take the gas tank off to change the plug

  • cheers heeps for that mate i just succesfully changed the oil in my bike and i have never done any mechanical work before. champion

  • Awesome stuff. Thanks for taking the time to do this for the rest of us. Twist the wrist.

  • got the 05 i bought a moose magnetic oil plug, well worth the money it catches more than youd think

  • good video mate. just got wr450f this will help me out

  • how often do u change the oil in that bike? im thinking about geting a wr250f

  • every 300km should be good for it

  • thanks man

  • is it similar too a 2008 wr250x?

  • Very nice job on the video.

  • Nice vid, but that's an '05 wr250f.

  • No it is an 06

  • Hmm, thought they changed the plastics after

'05. I guess that's just for the yzf's. Nice bike.

  • Great Job on the videos, the only thing i would add is a warning not to lose the rubber orings under the oil filter cover and screen pipe, as I have done this ;)

  • i didnt even know there was an oil filter haha... btw how much did you put back in?

  • awesome vid bro...

i was so messy before..parts n bits everywhere..

now i'm going to do it pro style like you!

don't suppose any chance of a valve check vid to come? :p

    thanks again..well done

  • using compressed air to blow the strainer and filter is a good idea as well. blow from the inside out on a steel reusable oil filter to remove any left over contact cleaner and metal shavings as well as dirt. same can be done for the oil strainer.

  • its not really necessary to do all of that is it? my dad and i just change the oil and filter.

  • The steel oil filter might save money, but if you have to clean it... why not stick with the normal filters. Fresh and clean. Another 5* vid, thanks again!

  • The paper oil filters will work fine, the only reasons to switch are to savec $, and you will never run out of filters and have to go to the store. It only take a couple a seconds to clean it.

  • dammit!! this video isn't working can you re-upload it

  • I have tried watching this video from three different computers and it seems to be working. I am not sure what is wrong. Did you search you tube for wr250 oil change to bring it up? That is what I did and it worked. If it still isn't working let me know.

    Jeremy

  • sorry its working now, awesome video, thanks

  • You have no clue how much that is appreciated! Thanks so much for taking the time! Great job!!!!
