I grew up around that area. The Silver City Days hosted by the Cattle Men Association is a sham. Very rude, detached bunch of fellas that don't even know/live the history of Silver.
I've always wanted to buy one of the old houses in Silver City and restore it. But I have no idea about how to get one of the old houses. My understanding is that in the origional town there were a couple of German carpenter/wood craftsman which is why there is a lot of ornate carpenty on the house fronts.

I agree my family came to Silver City, Idaho in 1863 and has had houses there ever since. The cattlemen need to take their little party elsewhere!
