@gillsans I'm happy Dr. Phil helped her, but he could've helped 3 people out with all the over the top help he gave her. $5000 should've been enough to help her for a year & in stead of paying her full college bill he could've paid a 1/3 of it & did the same for 2 other people & then set them up with a loan for the rest of it that they would have to pay once they graduate & get a job. It's good to help, but to do everything for 1 person when so many others need a little help too is not so good.

@nycolea13 Notice that I said "HELP HER WITH HER BILLS" NOT PAY ALL OF THEM FOR HER! Re-read my post. Besides, she was getting Public Assistance with 4 kids on her income which means she was most likely getting HELP with food, housing, medical, etc. So yes, $5000 would've been a hell of a lot of HELP for her. The goal should've been to HELP as many people as he could not give 1 person a completely free ride. LOL all you want, but $5000 could make a big difference in someone's life n a year.

This woman has rent, electric, gas, water, car and FOUR kids . . .How much money does she make a year if she needs public assistance? How much are your bills per month?

The point that I was making was that with P.A./food stamps, housing assistance = little rent or no rent, etc. & 5k along with whtevr $ she was earning shud've helped her a lot.
