Me desea suerte buena.

Yo hablo ingles genralmente.

  • That awkward moment when watching these videos and an ad for Rosetta Stone flashes across the screen and you wonder why your not using Rosetta Stone...

  • @partayanimal1996 Because it's free and you can communicate with the creator of the video who also happens to be a teacher? Just a guess. :)

  • So I'm a Hispanic-American trying to learn more old fashioned words and grammar. I couldn't help and notice that some of your vocab are a tad bit off...Por ejemplo:

    Atrevido-> outgoing valiente-> brave

    antipático-> antipathetic enojona-> she is mean

  • @indexicanoreo96

    I don't disagree. The words can mean many things though.

    atrevido = brave, daring, (possibly outgoing)

    I've never heard anyone EVER say "antipathetic" in English. I'll stick with "mean" & "unpleasant" ;-)

  • thanks these are super helpful!

  • thanks for these videos..im pretty sure theyre going to save me from failing my final tomorrow!

  • you use the imperfect when an action habitually happened in the past on an ongoing basis, such as I used to go or I always used to go instead of I went, as in an action that happened and was completely finished (pretérito).

  • thanks! this video was very helpful

  • I am so glad you exist. This helps me immensely .

  • In Spanish, the imperfect is used to:

    express habitual or repeated actions in the past--

    -- describe characteristics and conditions in the past.

  • The imperfect-

    The imperfect is another tense that you may use when talking about the past. Contrary to the preterit, which expresses the beginning or end of a past event, action, or condition, the imperfect describes the nature of an event, action, or condition while it was going on but does not make reference to its beginning or end.

  • hi sorry, i dont get the ir and ser for imperfect and preterite.

    yo iba a la escuela

    yo fui a la escuela

    idk if im making sense,

  • @murtalix They both mean the same thing "I went to the school" But the context changes with the two. Iba is Imperfect so with that your statement means "I went to the school all the regularly" (as like a child for middle school). Fui is Preterite so the context would be "I went to the school one time" (to see a Football game). Imperfect tense describes habitual or routine past actions. Whereas the preterite relates a completed past action or focuses on the beginning or end of a past event.

  • i would only suggest changing the font so that the accent or the lack of accents could be seen clearly...other than that...great video

  • Sr. Jordan.

  • Whats bajas? Shorts? It flashed off fast, probably youtubes new biz. By the way your videos are great- gracias a ti

  • bajo --> short

    baja --> short

    bajos --> short

    bajas --> short

    Just depends on who or what we're describing.

  • @RobinSpence100  Thanks

  • these are great videos, I got screwed over by my college cuz my advisors forgot to remind me I needed a foreign language class, so here i am as an anthropology major taking spanish 103 the last term of my senior year. but thanks, these help

  • ur really good at teaching:)

  • can you do a video on future tenses

  • when will you upload new vids ?

  • Muchas gracias!

Gracias

  • man u are amazing!!!

    congratulations!!

    very good!!!

    a mi me gusta mucho!!!

    =* besos

  • Question: When should I use the Imperfect instead of the preterite?

  • I can't post links in replies, so I'll send a message to respond to your question.

  • Can you please send me the link too.

  • two main ways to tell...

    1) if it's background information (He was sleeping when I walked in the room.) [was sleeping is the imperfect; walked is preterite.]

    2) when talking about something that happened without regard to it's beginning or end; to talk about things that used to happen. (I used to watch the Fresh Prince when I was younger).

  • gracias por el help.but i todavía necesitan un poco más ayuda

  • no disrespect intended to tontitofrito (the fried silly guy) but please check out my video about the imperfect.
