I think its not necessary, Tenzing Norgay Sherpa from my country( NEPAL) did not receive much fame( from world or from my country too, although HE equally should have received FAME from the WORLD community), we have no pictures of Sherpa in our money, nor was he awarded with big awards. Sir Ed ( considering only conquerer of Sagarmatha( Mt. Everest)) is not necessarily be given holiday for his b'day/funeral.If given I have no comment.
