@holdenb1988 I've tried Xfactor twice without any joy, which is why I post videos in the hopes of building up a fan base to move my career forward. Its a tough road doing it on your own, but the more people who support me and share my videos the more likey I am to have a successful career. I have an album coming out later in the year so that's exciting too x

@holdenb1988 perhaps, but from my experience and knowing loads of amazing singers who don't get through I know that it is a waste of time. You have to be very very lucky or just terrible to get through, at the end of the day its an entertainment show and if they have already got their quota of 'good' singers through for the day by the time they see you, it doesnt matter if you are Leona lewis they would just pass on you...same for American Idol...shame but that's just how it works unfortunately

@aandreou00 Thank you I am just using a Studio Projects TB1 mic, through a guitar pedal for the reverb. I record the videos live in my bedroom, so there is no added effects such as compression and pitch correction (the latter I am very much against anyway, as it can marr the natural characterists of the voice).
