  • Hi a lot of people don't know that the display contrast knob is actually a button besides being just a knob.If You press the display contrast knob You will hear a click.Hopefully it turns the backlight back on.It might not be anything wrong with the backlight after all?Give it a try and tell.Me if it works.Good luck.

  • google "backlightmpc 3000" and go to the first site called mpc stuff.

  • i'd call Akai and order a new display. unless the powers out that supply the pins on the backlight, that should fix it.

  • yo your red lights are on because when you opened your mpc the wires that connect the boards came apart. All you have to do is open your mpc. press the wires down that connect the boards together. they came apart when you opened the machine.
