In my studio, students learn the bow hold very quickly using the Bow Hold Buddies[tm] bow accessory. The accessory keeps the hand relaxed and fingers in place while we learn more music.
holy cow, i haven't been able to get my hands on a fiddle yet, but i really hope when i do i can learn as fast as you did. thats amazing for less than half a year

not bad for 5 months... ive been playing for about... ohhh, maybe 2 weeks now, haha, but im loving every minute of it... can't say my roommates agree but its a great instrument, keep up the good work
for 10 months now. Go for it. Its so rewarding. Best approach is to get lessons and become obsessed with the music. Listen to as much trad as you can and keep positive. The bowing will drive you mad at first but when you get the hang of that you'll be sorted. Best of luck!
this just after 5 months ? I do play piano no violin but this sounds very good for onley 5 months !! I would love to play violin to !!
