Thanks so much for the video and the real-life example you researched so well. Some of us in the Libertarian party are trying to swing opinion toward the LVT but it's a difficult process. LPPa chairman Mick Robertson is running for state rep on the LVT issue among others. I hope you make some headway on this in Philly.

In the previous paragraph, "he says taxes should be land/rent taxes" on line 2. Continuing on::: home. To pay for police,fire,streets, that should be a choice. As choice you might have a block meeting and everyone chip in to pay for a new street and police. George stated this.

Thanks for posting. I have been reading about Henry George and he says land should be the only taxes. however, I don't know if I agree with him. I don't know whether as he states land should be free. If land is free both would pay no taxes. However, to lay claim to the land you must live there. Since no one is living there they get kicked out. The person across the street might come upon hard times and lose his job. If he has rent, even by the city, he might be forced to vacate his

Land Valuation Tax taxes only the "value" of land, not the house on it - all land not just developed land

Land ownership is the same. The land value was created by the community, not the occupier. The Community reclaims the value it created by LVT, so it is not tax, more a rent. What you earn, you keep - no income tax
