  • Randy Orton in his first years in WWE was the best, 24 years old and he looked like he was competing at least 10 years in that ring

  • "do you have a camera J.R, take a picture."

"yeah i got one in my pocket...i usually carry it out here"

    haha heel lawler

  • Erased from the books.... Not from our minds and hearts.

  • Comment removed

  • randy orton is the best right there

  • Crippler Cross Face was the BEST submission finisher in WWF history. It effects your shoulder, back, neck, AND face RIP Chris

  • One of the best matches of 2004, one of the greatest historic moments and it shows how incredible Benoit was in the ring to carry the match to being one of the best ever. Nuff said

  • @greenpopper36 i hope you kinow that all that accomplishments are because they re scripted to happen casue the way you say it it actually sounds as if you believe wrestling is a real competition in terms of real hability and classic grecoromanwrestling benoit will always be on top rand got al that titles just because he is bob orton´s lovely kid since he debuted he started to get a mega push in terms of greatness benoit will always be better than orton

  • @nalapunker2 Really? Orton was being squashed before he joined Evolution, he may have been Bob Orton's son. But guess what, Orton made it by himself. It's not like his father was anything good, no offence to him or anything but Randy is a much better entertainer and wrestler than his dad...

  • this was ortons worst title run as a big champion....now adays they dont wanna not have him be champion

  • i was ten when he died he was my Favorited imagine how i took the news 3 days after he gave me a used shirt autographed

  • I remember after Rock left in 03 after that all the original evolution were my favs then after randy won the intercontinental title he became my fav until earlier this year

  • that was the good old days! now its just Dashing Cody and crap CM PUNK

  • @raoulhery funny you think someone like Punk who possibly is one of the best in that ring and was told by Benoit that he is a good wreslter... is crap

  • was hebner getting some you screwed brett chants? haha

  • What I really liked about benoit character is that he was very motionless. In the ring he never showed his emotions he just went to the ring and took care of business and left

in his career period how many times did you hear him say a word or basically run his mouth like these wrestlers days

  • @greenpopper36 I'm pretty sure the HonkeyTonk Man is the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion. Benoit started at the bottom in WCW and made his way to the top. He did the same thing in the WWE, starting at the bottom. Orton, while great, was much more lucky in all of the opportunities that he had gotten. Greatest wrestler of all time doesn't really have anything to do with how many titles they've won. Curt Hennig was better than both of them and he never won a world title.

  • can't believe Randy Orton beat Benoit this night :P

  • LOL the crowd was telling Earl Hebner "You Screwed Bret"

  • jerry lawler is so gay " Would you rather be built like a truck? or a greek god? like randy orton he could be a model for statues!

  • king wanted to say like flies on shit lol

  • Randy "The Legend Killer" Orton > Randy "The Viper" Orton

  • Thank you kind sir for the upload

  • what a great tribute to wrestling a real match

  • King: You have a camera, JR? Take a picture!

JR: Yeah I got one in my pocket. I usually carry it out here.

  • this is randy orton back in the day.

  • Randy Orton is still the reason why I watch wrestling till this day

  • @JaYjmVp718 me too,is the only who remains from the old school

  • They should have JR call regular sports games too

  • i liked randy orton when he had hair :A now he's bald and it looks ugly

  • @Imgik0 hes not bald he has a buzz cut

  • When i was little i didn't really notice but JR and the king are very biased haha

  • I know people these days talk about super Orton and that he is stomping every career, but look at this Benoit was the one to push him to the stars, and Orton pushed alot of younger guys, and returned the older guys in the big league like Ric Flair Hulk Hogan and Triple H

  • England flag at 06:14

  • que buena luchaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • I <3 the way howard finkel announces chris benoit

  • rko won the world title vs christian on smackdown. yes its a spoiler

    Greatness!!

  • Make Lawler the heel announcer again instead of Michael Cole. Lawler makes a good one while Cole's just annoying.

  • This is arguably the best match Orton ever had. How tragic that he isn't allowed to ever utter so much as a word about either the match,or being the youngest ever world heavyweight champion! Why can't WWE grow up and acknowledge what Chris Benoit did. I don't expect Benoit to be commemorated, inducted into the hall of fame etc. However, what would be so wrong about acknowledging his contributions and allowing current wrestlers to reflect on significant matches they had against him??

  • can someone tell me why the crowd is chanting "you screwed Bret" other than the fact they're in Canada?

  • @evdogg0311 They are directing those chants towards the referee Earl Hebner who was a very controversial part of the montreal screwjob. Bret Hart was close with Hebner, and heading into the survivor series title match was obviously worried about who would officiate the match. He spoke directly to Earl the day before survivor series when Hebner famously 'swore on his kids' that he would never allow something underhand to take place. Hebner was given a hostile reception for years because of it.

  • benoit familykillah

  • @namevergebendunoob not his fault his doctor said he was fine when he had internal bleeding in his brain.

  • this match is the startr where i like randy orton till now

  • This was one of the best wrestling matches I've ever seen.

  • well this match was meant to erase brock lesnar from the wwe history books and ironically when they have a randy orton dvd in the future this match should be on it but since chris benoit is erased from the wwe history books it will not be on the randy orton dvd.

  • @wrestlingjoey best moment ever for orton man i liked orton so much better back here i dont like this viper crap as much............................ check my channel out answer wwe blog give it a shot it;'s on my channel your opinion..........

  • Chris Benoit is a great performer but when i heard how he died, he was one of my favorite wrestler but should i hate him for this what he has done to his family :/

  • No you should not because its a fact that benoit had so many concussions from the headbutts he had off ladders and he had a serious case of dementia so those were what drove him nuts

  • Orton ...Sharpshooter...WTF???

  • @deviousai3 earl hebner was the ref and this match was in canada, it was a play on the montreal screw-job, which is why you can hear the "you screwed bret" chants directed at the ref

  • This was around the time when I started watching wrestling, Watching Benoit as the Heavyweight champ is what got me into it. That damn divin headbut really got to him

  • Chris Benoit = WWE Legend

  • 00:29 LOL poor microphone :-(

  • I wouldn't say Benoit was THE BEST, but deff one of the best, and no matter who he was matched up against he always did make his matches interesting haha

  • One of the best technical and submissinist match of all time

  • Benoit is the greatest wrestler of all times

  • 5 dislikes means they hate the match

  • Randy Orton is the best WWE Superstar they will ever be. PERIOD!

  • @10gate710 they say he killed his wife, his son and then he killed himself

  • My 2 fave wrestlers, wish benoit was still here R.I.P

  • Benoit=greatest wrestler ever.

  • why is there no sound?

  • @10gate710 no one knows

  • Two of my favourite wrestlers in probably one of the best matches I've ever seen. Thank you WWE.

  • @iuld this was a epic match my favorite as well

  • Benoit was the greatest wrestler to ever grace our television screens and he will be remembered always.

  • @pamviewer9 he is a murderer and he isn't even in the top ten wrestlers of all time

  • @ks7800 not his fault its his doctors

  • @pamviewer9 it his fault hes gone hes in hell for comiting suicide

  • @8trentp That's fucking nonsense. He had mental issues. Malfunctions in his brain. Not his fault. If there is a God, I'm certain he wouldn't be such a prick as to look over this and as a someone of faith, neither should you.

  • Respond to this video... Respond to this video...

  • @pamviewer9 he should be forgotten

  • @fofferk as a wrestler, he should be remembered...but as a man, he is best forgotten. simple as that!

  • @fofferk as a wrestler, he should be remembered...but as a man, he is best forgotten

  • @VetoFTW your a shit asshole dick head

  • five people dont see the line and the greatness of randy orton

  • haha the king was hilarious as as a heel commentator

  • randy orton amazing entrance

  • How awesome is that. Randy came out to the evolution theme music. The middle man of the group wins the World Heavyweight Championship. That's how you keep an audience on its toes. I didn't see this coming at all. Not all of that oh John Cena won again crap.

  • @dynomike15 lol... i know i loved these years, my favorite years would have to be 1996-2005/6ish

  • @dynomike15 then cena came and ruined it with his retarded wigger gimmick...

  • Walking out there for this match Randy Orton became the youngest ever world heavyweight champion. He had the whole wrestling world at his feet. Now in fairness we should have seen Orton improve massively from then till now as he perfects and adjusts his character/repotoire. That hasn't happened. Orton today is no where near the level of Orton in this title match. He struggles to set pace (as most top guys do aswell) is always taking breaks in between moves etc. Indicative of WWEs big/sudden fall

  • this match is underated!!! great singles match between these two....il put them both in top ten in ring performers

  • maybe the most technical match randy orton has been 'to. yeah agree, randy orton have my respect on this one. Makes me think he's not that all good looking wrestler. But can stand his ground to the wrestlers like Benoit, Taker, Michaels, etc.

Also props to Benoit to catapult Randy into the main event spot. He make Randy look good 10x in his young days in this match.

  • I really miss this Orton. I hate viper.

  • @ChucklesHDwwe the viper has taken over the wwe dont see how you could hate that he has more charisma than any1 except maybe undertaker in the wwe right now. great wrestlers have to develop and no doubt orton is at the top right now

  • RIP

  • i miss this orton he sucks now R.I.P Chris Benoit

  • Orton is the best. The youngest champion in wwe history.

    RKO!!

  • you people are fucking stupid.... it is scripted ... the match is already decided before it started ... wwe .... the e at the end is entertainment

  • RANDY ORTON IS THE BEST IN ALL OF WWE SUPERSTARS BECAUSE HE IS USES ALL WHO GIVE HIM AND NOW HE GOT THE:

    WWE CHAMPIONSHIP

    WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIOSHIP

    ROYAL RUMBLE 2009

    INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP

  • @ugougoih and one of the best finishers ever and he took out the mcmahons

  • @ugougoih no doubt that randy orton is definatly skilled, but chris jericho as a wrestler is MUCH better.... just watch the HBK vs jericho match... and judge for yourself...

  • @ugougoih u forgive the world tag team championship

  • @ugougoih undertakers accomplishments far surpass ortons

    8 time world champion

    (WWF, world heavyweight)

    2007 rumble winner

    18-0 at wrestlemania

    former hardcore champion

    former undisputed champion

    2 time tag team champion

and the fact he beat orton at wrestlemania

  • @ugougoih World Tag Team Championship

  • @ugougoih for got tag team champ

  • @ugougoih also tag champion!

  • @ugougoih And tag titles

  • @ugougoih dont forget the tag titles

  • @ugougoih dont forget tag team champion

  • @ugougoih amen Brother!!!! and the youngest world heavyweight champion even better bro!!!

  • @ugougoih and tag team champ

  • @ugougoih tag with edge

  • @ugougoih DONT FORGET A 8 TIMES CHAMPION AND TAG TITLES

  • Gran lucha!!

    R.I.P Benoit.

    Randy is the best!!!!

  • this is one of the most underated best matches...orton held his own against benoit...reason why he is like the only real respectable superstars left along with taker kane hhh rey jericho edge and cena (if cena goes heel)

  • The night Randy Orton didnt just earn benoits respect but mine too

put on a hell of a good match

  • R I P chris !

  • Favorite match, R.I.P. Benoit,

  • wwe was really on candas nuts this year. 2 PPVs in canda plus baby killer as world champ

  • @IEPhenom not like he had baby killer branded on his forehead.....

  • randy orton es el mejor

  • ALl of those talking about the Bret Hart Shawn Michaels feud, I see a few of you got it wrong. Bret didnt leave for the money. Vince told Bret to leave. Initially they had agreed on a 20 yr one million dollar contract. Bret would wrestle part of that contract and then remain as a talent scout, and backstage executive, etc. The wwf was losing money back then, and Vince couldnt honor the contract, so he told Bret to go WCW, who had offered him more in the first place. Bret didnt want to leave.

  • @fuckaj

Also Bret wanted to take the WWF Title with him but they decided to have Bret reverse the Sharpshooter when HBK applies it and HBK would tap but DX would beat down Bret and end his career. That ofcourse didn't happen.

  • just hearing jr says Benoit now lives in Atl sends shivers.

  • @buffalowhat11 ya pretty fucked up

  • Classic match Orton is the man right now if people still watchin WWE R.I.P Benoit

  • @JaYjmVp718 Randy was decnet here though slightly green and botched a couple of spots Benoit mostly carried him in this match I liked Orton intill he won the WWE Championship from Cena after that he just became a gay douche.

  • @sebastianhoward65 your crazy

  • 2004 was the last good year of WWE.

    2005-Present = John Cena:(

  • @Wh1teL1ghtinn actually most smarts stopped liking WWE around 2007 ya its true that most smarks stopped watching around 2005 when Cena won but Cena still had some really good matches with Angle

  • @Wh1teL1ghtinn its allabout randy orton

  • I remember before this match when i called that orton will win the world title and i was right and i marked out when he did it! :)

  • where was summerslam 2004 held?

  • @laurenjim toronto, ontario, canada

  • RANDY ORTON is legend, this is summer video

    Randy Rocks

  • Randy Orton is legend

  • @kcrhk and undertakertexas, randy orton isnt just a legend, he's also a legend killer

  • @laderhow Randy was decnet here thoufgh slightly green and botched a couple of spots Benoit mostly carried him in this match I liked Orton intill he won the WWE Championship from Cena after that he just became a gay douche.

  • back when the world title meant something....

  • @JP233 yeah attitude era (roughly 1997-2006-ish) was WWE's prime time! I like that in matches like this there's more technical wrestling, that's become almost non-existant today...

  • I miss this Randy Orton..what kind of dumbshit like Vince decides to drop the Legend Killer gimmick into a snake (Viper) when Legend Killer fits better?

  • @RaymondRochefort because great superstars have to develop orton has now upped his charisma into legendary status where as when he was a legend killer he wasnt really creating his own legend if he was still a legend killer now it would be pathetic cuz there's harldy any legends left he is the viper

  • in my opinion they should've saved this for mania 21 but then again im glad they did this at summerslam thats my favorite ppv since 1998

  • great match for orton and prolly one of benoits greats too too bad orton got tattoo sleeves and benoit rip still a legend and talent

  • Benoit>Bret Hart. At least Benoit was willing to lose the title in his home country

  • @Jimmierip2 well u gotta remember that bret already had beef wit shawn an he was more than likely on his way out of the company anyway

  • Bret was just being unprofessional in that match, which forced McMahon to screw him

  • @Jimmierip2 well Bret was being unprofessional at the end of the match and the aftermath But u hav to remember Vince was trying to get bret to leave to WCW anyway because brets contract was to much for the then struggling WWF

  • Vince couldnt afford to fill Bret's pockets. Bret wanted to much money and McMadman couldnt afford it. That is just buisness

  • When Eddie and Chris died, WWE pretty much died with them

  • Orton got put over by one of the greatest wrestlers that ever lived. Triple H would never do anything like this. He buries everyone instead.

  • @godanselmo Didnt hhh put over cena at a wresltmania??

  • @m12weezy yeh at mania 22

  • RANDY ORTON WAS ON A ROLE BACK IN 2004, WHEN I WAS IN THE NAVY THATS ALL EVERYONE EVER TALKED ABOUT WAS RANDY ORTON CAUSE HE WAS SO DAMN GOOD. I HAD GOT TO MEET HIM AT MCCARTHER CENTER MALL IN NORFOLK, VA RIGHT BEFORE HE CHALLEGED THE UNDERTAKER AT WRESTLEMANIA 21 AND HE ACTUALLY SIGNED THIS DVD FOR ME, ALSO SHANE MCMAHON WAS THERE ALSO. FOR ANYONE THAT MAY BE READING THIS THAT IS FROM NORFOLK,VA YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT...

  • Man I miss this Randy Orton now he's all business. He used to be the shit.

  • RIP Benoit & TEAM ORTON all day !

  • in this match 2004 randy orton was at his best shape of his life

  • I remember it was RIGHT after Summerslam '04 in which I started watching WWE.

    good times D:

  • i absolutely loved it when rko won the world championship i been a fan of rko since and now he is the best wrestler i seen since the rock imo

  • RIP Benoit!

  • @eugeneanime Thank you. Chris Benoit did not kill himself! There was signs of foul play at the damn crime scene. It was Nancy Benoit's ex husband, who was a former WCW wrestler/WWE storywriter

  • @eugeneanime Right, he may have killed his family, he could out wrestle anybody on their best day

  • what were they chanting at the start of the match?

  • @sporadicsrs I think they were chanting ' You screwed Bret ' at Earl Hebner

  • Evolution is a Mystery

  • those were the days ;(

  • This is the first match i ever watched of Randy Orton... i've been a fan ever since

  • wow Randy is hot!!

  • when jim ross was drafted to smackdown everything went downhill even before that it was on a bad slide, The Evolution and Attitude Era were the best

  • @KottonMouthification I am a lifelong WCW mark, but I watched WWE during the Evolution era and I LOVED it. Definitely WWE's peak.

  • @PeoplesWar not even close

  • randy orton is the best wrestler

  • i loved this video great

  • I miss benoit

  • The birth of randy orton

  • benoit should have had jbls title reign

  • @SJFC316 I agree with you on that statment.

  • Imagine.....Wat if Orton had stayed heel after winning, and they threw HHH out of evolution instead?

  • @fuckaj This was Orton's best ever match, You know the WWE has totally lost the plot because Orton has not been involved in a wrestling match like this in years. The quality of wrestling on display is PG children friendly crap. Benoit wouldn't be able to perform anymore. His standard would be too high for today's era.

  • @bpatrice49 orton hhh at no mercy was a class match there has been great matches since this match just not enough, like loads of people hate cena but his match with edge at backlash 2009 was brilliant

  • @fuckaj If that had a occured,it would have been awesome.HHH always turns on people,i wanted to see someone turn on him.

  • @5starwrestlingradio exactly. It would have prolonged Evolution, and put Orton over as top heel in the company. Maybe its just me, but HHH needs to retire. I mean, The Rock is gone, HBK is gone, Austin is gone, all the wrestlers HHH feuded with in his prime are gone, he should stay off screeen too. I hear he's coming back soon though possibly as the true Nexus leader. smh

  • @fuckaj

HHH had said for a long time he had wanted to turn heel again.

  • One of the best matches ever. Evolution song owns too.

  • i have seen hundreds of videos from the attitude are but i am only 15 i didnt hav the privilege to be able to watch it live but it definately was the best era in the wwe

  • legend killer vs family killer
