  • Wonderful lesson, helped me learn this great tune, could u do a lesson of sonnet by the verve by any chance please

  • man o man.. u r fukcin awesum... fuck if u were i a girl then i cud have married yuh..... wow... such nasty guitar skills... :D

  • Really great, man. The Fadd9 filled in a nice nuance that I'd been missing just playing a regular F. Thanks for the lesson.

  • Thanks for a great lesson :-) Recorded it on my daughter's child-guitar - check it out :-)

  • great, great, great, easy to understand for an absolute beginner ;-)))

  • just finished my cover of this swing by my channel and check it out

    Saludos desde Chile

  • another fantastic lesson, thanks justin

  • i clicked like right b4 the video starts.. coz u'r awesome..

  • the best

  • Do you have any exercises for singing and playing Justin?. I can play and I can sing (I think anyway) but not sing and play lol.

  • @stevieoha yeah me too I go off rythem but still the chords are right but I swallow some of the lyrics as well it ends up really really infinty crappy! plz give some of the exercises if u have! :(

  • @stevieoha vocalising is second nature, what you need to do is get your guitar playing to be second nature too. When they're both second nature they will happen together nicely. get a print out of the lyrics and chords and play along to a recording. reduce your vocals to a hum, reduce them to only humming on chord changes if u need to. play over and over, then sing the word on the chord changes only. build up to humming more then singing more. it will come,do songs with simpler strum patterns

  • heyyyyy JUSTIN , i'm doin dis song , seein ur lesson , ur fuckinnnn amazing tutor man !!!

hats offfffffff to u dude !!

  • Thank you, you are an amazing teacher, but this song is extremilly difficult for me, im kind of in the stone age of guitar players, and not even with a excelent teacher like you, i can get it. Sory for my inglish bacause im Portuguese :{P.

  • Nice job Justin, not just on this piece but throughout your site; I just wanted to thank you for putting this together. I hope you get the break you deserve! You probably have more subscribers than Tasmania has residents, don't you?

Good luck to you and thanks again!

  • ''Now the drugs don't E-minor'' haha, that cracked me up somehow =P It just sounded so funny. Very good lesson Justin, tx very much :) Had some troubles with the chords at first, never played those chords before, but i'm getting the hang of it :) Really beautiful song, thanks!

  • 'im gunna ashooome'

    hahaha

  • Thanks very well explained. It is a beautiful and simple song.

  • I agree that u should learn strumming patterns by ear, but some don't have that ability, especially when beginning to learn. It can't be that hard to say down, down, up, down, up, down. Just a tip because it is very helpful being told the pattern. Thanks for all the great lessons, I learn from your lessons over every other teacher on youtube. Your the man! Keep it up!

  • thanks lads for reply but got wires crossed just this song find it hard with the strummin cheers

  • Justin you are the dogs pods mate.. I'm actually getting this one now, looked at it a while ago , gave it a go, left it for a while but have come back to it which i think is the best way to learn. Not doing to much to soon as for me i just get frustrated with not being able to play it, but after a short break its like riding a bike, picked it up and can play it fairly well now. Cheers and thank you for such an accurate lesson. You are the best teacher on the web mate, keep it up.

  • awsome lesson! It's like you're a member of the band!

  • awesome man!

    you're the best teacher!

    take care!

  • nice work!!!!!!!!

  • great lesson

I didn't understand how to play the Gsus though can someone explain it to me? where do you put your second finger for example?

    thanks

  • looks like the second finger is just lifted from the strings for the g sus chord !!

I am only a beginner but thats what it looks like

  • 1st finger (index finger) is on 1st fret, b-string.

2nd finger (middle finger) is not used when he plays the gsus 4 chord.

He is resting it in a way that looks like he is using it on a-string,2nd fret, but he says that he mutes the a-string when he also mentions that he is playing open g-and open d-string.

So it is just 3xxx13 (one of several ways to play gsus4).

i dont think it would hurt to use middle finger though, depends wether you find a place to put it where you like the sound of ;).

  • 3x0013 that is of course, since as i mentioned, he plays open g and open d.

  • this lesson is amazing!! i played this at my friends daughter's 21st birthday party and almost got mobbed at the end by all of my friends wives and girlfriends, they wanted to know how i learned it and i told them 'from the best guitarist' on the web JUSTIN SANDERCOE!!!

  • awesome stuff really, simple

  • Great teacher, love playing this song now!

  • Superb, surely the best teacher ever...

  • thank you so much for putting those awesome videos on youtube!!!

    justin we love you ;)

i learned to play the guitar on your website..

  • great guy!!

  • For anyone watching who is having difficulty, playing it like this works fine:

C with the pull off, Am with the pull off, EM, F, G, C with the pull off. Just skip the fancy F and G and play regular ones, it still sounds fine.

  • great

  • Quality lesson mate, it's helped alot. Thanks

  • great lesson mate, thanks alot!!!

  • So awesome when he sings, Now the F add 9 doesn't work xD

  • Justin

Excellent lesson, top teacher, thanks very much. This has been a great help to me as I'm just learning

Keep up the great work! cheers

  • good work... got it first time!

  • Great show, i thought my version was ok but yours is awesome! :)

  • you're an amazing player and a great teacher!

  • jesus that different F is a bit ridiculous, i cant get my thumb over but its a great lesson nontheless

  • I've been playing for a while and I'm not comfortable with the thumb either. Just see if you can play it with a bar chord or something close.

  • i just play it the way he says but i mute the bottom 2 strings, ive watched richard ashcroft play it live and i think thats how he plays it anyway, he certainly doesnt use the thumb live.

  • Your a GREAT player':)

  • Justin your champion. thanks AGAIN for another great useful lesson :)

  • I've been trying to play this for months and never got the strumming right till I saw this. Great instruction, as with your other stuff. Shame about the singing...but you can't have everything lol.
