Dell: Really? were trying to help out with the U.S. recession. And unlike Mac we give 2 hoots about Anti-Theft.
Mac: ahh, guys their lifting me off the desk, oh boy and the wireless keyboard and mouse. I hate thugs, but whats a Mac suppose to do. My owners going to be sad.
It's nice that Mac users haven't fallen into the PC hole. Why would anyone want a PC when they could have a Mac? I'll never understand it. Most of those under $1,000 laptops will never run high-end games. If you buy a gaming laptop, it's still going to cost you over $2,000 whether PC or Mac. Better to buy a Mac, get a better OS and get quality over quantity. Macs have better resell value, too. No sense in even buying a PC either when Macs run Windows just fine.
sorry mate... but i have to disagree... when MAC is very very VERY bad in gaming... then a lot of people are not going to buy it... including me.... but other than that its a great machine... but yeah gaming on the mac just sucks which is preventing A LOT OF PEOPLE from buying it... as the whole next generation is about gaming
SIN4EVER14: "sorry mate... but i have to disagree... when MAC is very very VERY bad in gaming... then a lot of people are not going to buy it... including me.... but other than that its a great machine... but yeah gaming on the mac just sucks which is preventing A LOT OF PEOPLE from buying it... as the whole next generation is about gaming"
Well, I play games on my Mac a lot of the time. I've played Neverwinter Nights, Tombraider and other games, too. What do you mean about bad for gaming?
What in the world do you mean? Macs play all the Windows games. Macs can run Windows XP native on Boot Camp. All those thousands of PC games you're talking about run just fine on a Mac. The most killer gaming system is a Mac Pro tower. What else do you need for games? Why do I want to only have a PC for PC games when I can run Mac and PC games on a Mac Pro tower?
you don't get what I mean.... i mean without the help of bootcamp.... im using OS X Leopard now and I know what bootcamp is and what it does, it not a native install of windows, it lets you install windows.... those pc games are made for pc's not macs, thats why it says "made for windows"...... i never thought id say this, but "Get A PC"
It was more i wanted to say, but its not worth it...
iSwaggrite, that's not true. Boot Camp allows a native installation of Windows. Macs can play all the Windows games. I've played high-end Windows games on my Mac with Boot Camp. It runs just like it does on a Windows PC. The only difference between a Mac and a PC is the operating systems. There's no difference. Macs are just designed better, look better and run OS X Leopard. So, you're wrong.
I already sent you a link to show you that Boot Camp allows a "native" installation of Windows on any Mac. All Windows games run a Mac via a native install of Windows XP or Vista. You can run OS X Leopard and Windows XP/Vista on any Macintosh computer now. All the Windows games run just as good as on any PC.
Mac sucks!!. No if buts and about it. Graphic cards offered on a mac are so 2007 and 2008. I currently running icore7, 2* ati 4890 x2( 4gb video memory) , 8gb of ram, raid 0 10k drives, blueray burner and dell 30"monitor(same panel as apple 30) all for under $1600. No mac has icore, blueray, 4gpus and 4gb of video memory. Oh i could have easily made a xeon box with everything. icore is just better for multimedia than xeon.
gwalia, if you like your machine, that's all that matters. Personally, I would rather have a better operating system and hardware design for my money. Macs are just far more productive and run better. As for blue-ray, my PC friend has it, too. But, in the end, I believe blue-ray will die out. I don't think it will ever overtake DVD. Apple's not going to commit to blue-ray with its questionable survival. A movie is a movie in the end.
@blicksflicks I know this may be a reply to a comment one year ago. But.. you really think blu-ray is a fad?? Isn't that what we said about DVD's and VHS?
Honestly.. in 5/10 years.. DVD's will be obselete, blu-ray players and HDTVs are getting cheaper.. and when you're watching a DVD on an HDTV you're not taking advantage of what your TV can offer you in terms of sound and video..
@Gary320 I still don't think blue-ray will become the standard. Downloadable content will take over before blue-ray does. I don't think blue-ray has enough steam to overtake the entire market. Digital downloads will be blue-ray's fall. Steve Jobs thinks so, and so do I.
@blicksflicks That I can agree with you too. If internet becomes cheaper in the next few years... and more and more TV's become compatible with wifi.. then I think the blu-rays will slowly die out.
@blicksflicks To be honest. thought you'd never respond.. atleast not this quickly lol! AWesome though.. atleast I'm having an intelligent conversation on youtube.. those are rare.
@Gary320 Well, I have a friend Bob who thinks Blue-Ray will take over, too. And, we always debate the issue. I mean, don't get me wrong. I would love to see computer games and movies come on a standard Blue-Ray disc. However, I see how big digital downloads is getting, and it's just going to get more and more popular. Great sound and video is fine, but sometimes people just want to watch a movie. They don't need the best and greatest. Very few people want to watch a movie over and over again.
@blicksflicks I'm one of those people. I don't own a blu-ray player.. I dont need to. I watch movies once and I'm happy. However there are many others out there.. who well aren't like me. I agree that it's very possible digital downloads will get more popular than blu-ray.. However it all depends of convience, and if more and more TV's will have wifi capablities and have netflix.. and internet gets cheaper too.. Then more and more people will just follow that route and blu-ray will be 2nd.
@Gary320 You ever checked out an iMax film? Man, it's extremely high resolution, so much so that you can see the wrinkles on actors' faces. In the end, I would rather have the illusion of an actor still young and beautiful than be shown just how old they're getting. lol Eventually, as technology advances in movies and film, we're going to have to consider the viewer. Some wrinkles just need to be hidden with a lower resolution. :) Just how much sound and video quality do we actually need?
@Gary320 Blu-ray won't enjoy the same decade-long dominance DVD did after it succeeded VHS. But that's not because there will be other challenger physical disc formats. Rather, instead of buying discs from Amazon, Best Buy or Wal-Mart, people will begin getting their entertainment in the form of digital downloads in larger volumes.
@blicksflicks Either way, there will always be an audience for physical discs. Alot of people like to physically collect. Eventually DVD will die out.. and if Blu-ray is still around it will be #2.. Unless movies in USB's becomes adopted and liked..
@blicksflicks The world today, there is no limit. We will always need more and more and more. It's the same thing with video game console. How far are we before we are playing games with our movements and everything is life like.. how long before it becomes and virtual reality... do we really wanna go there either?
I don't see why you guys wouldn't endorse Apple. I know your video converted me. *buys a mac and begins to wear preppy clothes and handing out in white rooms*
