In that situation, when he fired up his client, he would have seen this unknown system on his client list, and looked into who it was. That is hardly a "hack".

Well of course not. Why would they create a program to allow remote control if that feature was already built in. To be specific, however, it is possible to control any windows PC with remote desktop, which is built into Windows. However, more configuration, specifically opening ports in your router, is needed to make it work over the Internet. Log me in works without the need for user configuration, making it easier. It is also more secure.

You install the LogMeIn Client on their computer, then you login with LogMeIn on your computer, and if the computer you want to remote control is online, then you can remote control the computer.

@swsinger teamviewer is good, but its very slow and laggy on all computers and internet connections. LogMeIn isnt laggy atall and you can control it from an internet browser
