A question, the dead body in the crow cage hallway in the beginning........does it reanimate later on in the game?

Because i have been through that hallway a second time and the body just magically disappeared.

I know chris is bsicaly hard mode, but he has more health, a more damaging (bowie) knife, and it reachs way further then jills. Wouldn't it be... easier... to knife with chris?
