@olavvanheesch Thank you Olav. I am always overwhelmed as to how popular Zedeco and New Orleans music is all over Europe. It's fun music and at least for a few minutes, it takes you away from day to day problems. Joyeux Noël!
@9th Ward.... LOL!!!!! I'd be liein' if I said I felt guilty about it!! There's no food in the world like our kinda southern cookin'.... whether it's as simple as beans an' rice, or as fancy as soft shell crab.... it's all good round here!! We may not be the richest state, but we're definitely the most unique and WELL fed. I thank god every day I wake up in Louisiana. ;)
@RinaJ10 Then it's not your fault!!! You eat whatever and whenever you desire and blame it on the song!!! Now ain't dat more betterer than feelin' guilty????
@merlan114 There's all sorts of slang associated with the word "cornbread", some of which can be derogatory and is also used in certain parts of the country describing Crack Cocaine. I think in this rendition, it's nothing more than a "good ole boy" wanting some good southern, Cajun, creole style cornbread.
@9thWardJukebox went over great. first time i'd played it. everybody danced. it was cool...me, a white blues cat from the delta in mississippi, playin' zydeco in a mexican cantina with a black band in texas! talk about diversity!
@kajunmoon port arthur, texas. place called rancho grande. thanks for asking. haha! i didn't want to do a commercial. really cool people and great food, as well.
@SweetDreamOne10 Hello Houston!!!!! My only complaint with Houston is exactly how many roads, streets, avenues, alleys can you bunch up together and call "Post Oak"????. Even my GPS starts smoking!
Honey, your comment is priceless!!! After years spent in Pa, a trip back to Ga had me talkin' regular again, and it drove my Yankee boss nuts when I returned to work in the north.
It's different now though, I'm living real south (Central America) and NOBODY understands what I'm sayin'!!! ; )
@chloemarie13 Well let's see. I'm called 9th Ward Jukebox, I'm a "Who Dat Nation" nut and I'm a New Orleans Hornets full 41 game season ticket holder. Next question.
We say PROJA=Cornbread

@9thWardJukebox preferably skillet style, made with buttermilk, and having lots of bacon and corn kernels in it, with butter and honey.
Lodge cast iron FTW, and all respect to Beau Jocque.
