This is a problem with the LCD inverter, youd have to replace the LCD inverter, or in some cases the inverter is located on the power board so youd have to replace that board.
I emailed this video link to dell's support folks, as the monitor was like this right out of the box they had no problem sending me a replacement. The replacement was messed up as well, but the 3rd has been an excellent performer.
i have the same problem with my monitor, try to set the brightness to 70% if it stays...

If it's a LCD monitor then your resolution is too high.

same fings appens to myn dude. turn it on nd den turns off after a few seconds, does ur 1 start to smell of smoke ??
